someone explain to me why iraqi's are only paying 5 cents a gallon for gas

and me and curling are paying over $2.10 a gallon. there are people in iraq smuggling the gas they payed $0.05 a gallon for and taking it to neighboring countries and receiving over a $1.00 a gallon for it. i'm glad my fukin tax dollars are helping to support some scumbag smuggler on the other side of the world. for a country with 30% unemployment they should be able to keep busy by driving around and doing absolutely nothing except burn 5 cent a gallon gas. excellent

I used to have a buddy who was an Iraqi refugee and he used to say gas is like water over there. They used it for anything they could including cleaning sidewalks and all sorts of silly shit. He also claimed that it was essentially free, if you filled up at a gas station and then told the clerk you didn't have any money they would let you off with an IOU. He also said that over half the food available in stores over there is rotten. I'll take high gas prices over shitty food and rampant lawlessness any day.

They produce it maing, and if they paid even 50c a gallon they'd be fucked. What is the living wage there? Isnt it just over 100 a month?


Not to mention they arent saddled down with exorbitant fuel taxes hidden into the cost like we are here
