Somebody help me use Ebay

I´m having some trouble, I have some questions.

Doesn´t anybody in the US just have a fucking bank account? It´s like it´s all creditcards and paypal accounts and so on.

How can I pay with Cheque to name? I can´t hand somebody a cheque who is on the other end of the ocean.

What happens if you pay, but they don´t send the object?
what happens if you send the object but they dont pay?

What happens if you open an ebay account under false name, just bid on 1000 things and hope one of them sends the object without you ever paying?

I don't know much about it but it scares me. You pay, but what's to keep them from scamming you?

yes more scammers on ebay then the juice board

try WU or try a regular money (no one will take cheques I bet from europe)

what are u bidding on?

check the sellers rating ? is he 100% or close too it? read his previous sells he has and see how the buyer said about him

seeing as they even sell things worth millions there, it must be SOMETHING

You're located in Europe, right? Right away that's going to make sellers skeptical, especially if you don't have any feedback.

The best way for buyers to pay for something is Paypal (even though I hate Paypal as a seller). Paypal makes it extremely easy for buyers. You have to make sure your address is confirmed. If the seller does not put a tracking number on the item and it was sent to your confirmed address, he has no way of proving it was sent to you...you can say you never received the item and Paypal will rule a refund in your favor...but if he has the tracking number that's all he needs to prove the item got to you. The seller can actually send a brick with a tracking number...and you wouldn't get a refund.

I'm not sure what ebay's policy is on complaints, but I know by sending a check you are setting yourself up to be scammed.

Open up a paypal account firstly, and secondly no way anyone will ever send w/o you paying - sorry.

Lots of sellers in europe too.
theres even little national ebay-ripoffs in all european countries.

yes but you would have to transfer money into it somehow. You can do that through check or bank account. Its just like an online fund that you can transfer money into and pay from so that people do not aquire your CC #.

about 100 bucks

Get someone here to pay it for you and have it shipped to your address and you can wire that person the money. Will cost you probably 15-20$ to wire the money though.

Every country has its own eBay site, not really eBay ripoffs...

Umm as for paypal, you have to have a card to sign up for it. Not sure if it's the same in every country, but in the UK they will make two small deposits into your bank account and then you confirm your account by entering the amounts put into your account.

And the complaints process here isn't worth bothering with, unless you've lost out on loads I wouldn't bother . . . they never do anything about it.

wiring doesn´usually cost me anything. inside europe it´s free.

I´ll see how much it is to the usa.

Find out. I'll do it since I believe you are trustworthy.

I´m pretty sure its not a very relevant amount. I can send to all of europe and the UK too for nothing, I assume there´s not suddenly a 20 buck barrier to you guys.

im finding out though

my banks website just is hardly loading

Just let me know. I'll be here another 20 minutes then I've got to go take my lawn mower in and run some other errands and will gone about 2 hours. It's no big deal. I'll wire money to where you want and then you just wire it back to me. It's the money transfer fee you need to find out about, because I think it costs around 20$ or so from here. But, I may be wrong. Hope so

1. I don't understand why YOU don't just open a PayPal account, helluva lot less aggrivating, PayPal defaults to bank direct draft anyway. I normally use my credit card to pay for things through PayPal, but some of the vendors don't accept credit card and then it's direct draw from my checking account.

2. If you deal with vendors who have high rating (I will NOT deal with a vendor who has a rating of less than 98% and even then I'm cringing, the item has to be cheap and something I'm not too interested in).

3. Again, if you get a PayPal account and you're a seller you don't have the problem of not receiving payment and sending the goods. You don't send squat until the payment cleared.

I've bought stuff from overseas before, gotten better service from folks in Britain than right here in the US.

Dude, get a PayPal account, its free, they're secure.

Some dood just screwed up one of my sales. He used my buy-it-now option and meant to only bid...or so he claims.

I had to restart the auction
