The problem is obama is very divisive and doesnt have the leadership that good presidents have to bring the country together during bad times (lincoln, FDR, Reagan)
I disagree that Lincoln "successfully" brought anyone together, although not for lack of trying (same with Obama). He was hated in the south and eventually shot for those same reasons. I'll agree on Roosevelt, though he actually started us down the Socialist path and for good reason.

Hispanics (of all races) were 20.6% of the total jail and prison population in 2009. Hispanics comprised 16.3% of the US population according to the 2010 US census. The Northeast has the highest incarceration rates of Hispanics in the nation.Connecticut has the highest Hispanic-to-White ratio with 6.6 Hispanic males for every white male. The National Average Hispanic-to-White ratio is 1.8. Other states with high Hispanic-to-White ratios include Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New York.
The Hispanic community is not monolithic, and thus there are variations, even with incarceration rates. Among the Hispanic community, Puerto Ricans have the highest incarceration rate, and are up to six times more likely to be incarcerated than whites, and may explain the higher incarceration rates for Hispanics in the Northeast region.
Illegal inmigrants, usually Mexican nationals, also make up a substantial number of Hispanics incarcerated.
In 2010 black non-Hispanic males were incarcerated at the rate of 4,347 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents of the same race and gender. White males were incarcerated at the rate of 678 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents. Hispanic males were incarcerated at the rate of 1,755 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents.For female rates see the table below.
However, black majority cities have similar crime statistics for blacks as do cities where majority of population is white. For example, white majority San Diego has a slightly lower crime rate for blacks than does Atlanta, a city which has black majority in population and city government.
Census data for 2000, which included a count of the number and race of all individuals incarcerated in the United States, showed for each state that the proportion of blacks in prison populations exceeded the proportion of whites among state residents in every state.
In twenty states, the percent of blacks incarcerated was at least five times greater than their share of resident population.

Laws you set to stack the deck against them. Example.
1. Free the slaves
2. Don't hire slaves because you don't want to pay for something you've been getting for free
3. Enact laws requiring freed slaves to prove they have gainful employment.
4. Allow any citizen to demand proof anytime you feel like asking them. Allow said citizen to decide what proof they deem acceptable.
5. Send anyone who fails to meet this burden back to prison where guess what? The prison hires them out and keeps the money.
6. You keep them imprisoned for decades until they work off their "debt", which you determine willy nilly.
All the above actually happened on the regular.
The modern day version of this story is
Set much stiffer sentencing guidelines for crack (predominately used and sold by blacks) than you do for cocaine (predominately used by middle class whites) even though crack is a diluted version of cocaine. Sentences were often 5-10X longer for the the same volume of crack.
Ok the drug laws are definately fucked regarding crack. What we need is filtered sorting of the prison population by percentages without including those in arcerated for crack, to minimize racial skewing

BO is the first black prez, and obviously a lot of pressure is on him to succeed because of this. He has failed miserably, so most are going to correlate that with him being black. I do not, but most will. Like it or not, racism is everywhere, and it's from every race. I am not a racist, and honestly think BO has done a better job than McCain would have, given the shithole we were in in 08, but better is not best. We were given the choice between an incompetent fool, and an evel less competant fool. the fact is, Obama has had 4 years and has failed in damn near every aspect of the presidency.
What sucks worse is we are now stuck with the same choice we had 4 years ago, and neither candidate seems like they're going to be able to even knock a dent in this problem we have

We need a business person to run this country! White black doesn't matter, it's about building a strong economy, not making it easier on lazy people, it's about working to improve yourself, not letting the gov give you shit,earn it ! You let the gov give you something you open the door for them to take something away! People need to vote with their heads and think about how you want to live. We live in the greatest country ever, Americans will always prevail, always come out on top when left to our own devices!
After 4 years the economy should have improved vastly to this point. BO policies have stagnated and prolonged the recovery at best and more than likely it was made worse than we should have been at this point in time.
and racism is a bigger issue than it's been since the O.J. trial. One of my oldest (hardcore conservative) friends, someone I've known 30 years, said she'd rather vote for anyone than "that monkey in the white house"....and she's not even racist to be honest.
Here's what you don't get. White people aren't being blamed for why blacks are still wherever they are now. However they DO NOT get a pass for being the reason they are there in the first place. What someone does to themselves doesn't in any way absolve you of what you may have done. Case in point.
Friends of yours gave little Johnny shit all through grade school. Maybe because he was a minority; maybe he was gay; maybe he had a disability; maybe he just sucked at sports...doesn't matter. Johnny grows up and starts smoking, drinking, not taking care of himself. By age 52 Johnny is a complete mess. He's overweight, diabetic, has throat cancer. Does the fact that he's pretty much done this to himself (although one could argue his childhood treatment is a factor) somehow absolve your friends of responsibility for treating him like shit long ago?
I neither needed nor expected him to do anything for me. I've never felt like the guy in the white house has much bearing on my success.

Hes not absolved but at what point does he keep bearing responsibility? Should a sincere apology be good enough and then move on? Should he be sued by a 52 year old in civil court for damages from childhood bullying? I dont understand at what point white people should feel guilty or stop feeling guilty for the past?
Im 38 and have had certain problems for decades that my parents have directly contributed to, not intentionally, but by negligence in certain areas. I dont absolve them of all responsibility but I dont ask anything of them either and I continue to love them and treat them with the respect and dignity anyone else would that didnt have that past issue. I havent demanded an apology but i did let them know in no uncertain terms their contributing factors. Im sure they feel guilty still but i think its one of those unforeseen things, so what are we to do? I think people arent perfect and life isnt fair sometimes and life just goes on and you deal with it the best you can, just like my parents did for my grandparents shortcomings.
placing blame doesn't solve anything. you're still left in the same place you were before you figured out whose "fault" it is that you're there. we can't change the past bro. I'm not saying to forget about it but at some point you have to accept it and move on and take responsibility for yourself.
