He looks very very tall - I would guess 6'3" plus so although he don't look all big in photos, he most definitely is.
It takes tall people so much more effort to fill their frame up.

I grew up in northern NJ and played years ago high school was public but traveled a lot for the Morris County Colonials, played a lot of good schools, teams from Russia too.

Not playing hockey anymore though, it's my brothers stuff in the pics. I stopped playing when i started highschool, just didn't like it that much. I hate anyform or cardio, lol. Max distance farmers walks are my enemy.
