Her car was parked in front of her apartment complex in a fairly nice residential section of town. Some fucker smashed the driver's side window and jerked the stereo out. He was at least kind enough not to fuck up the wiring harness, but he did steal the entire mounting plate. Now she has a huge hole where the radio was and will have to order a new mount/trim panel from Mitsubishi. I am especially pissed because it was my fucking Valentine's day gift to her and I installed it.

Hopefully insurance will cover everything, but she has a $500 deductable so she may just be fucked either way.

I better never catch this fucker.

although i am a calm person by nature, if i EVER caught some skuz ball breaking into my car i would loose control and beat the shit outta him!!!

i've had to work too long and budget and compromise too much for what i have, catching someone in the act of stealing it would push me over the edge!

Does she have renter's insurance? Some clauses will allow for belongings in a car to be covered as well. My home owner's policy has such a clause.

She's called her insurance company but I don't think she's filed a police report yet. They are going to make her drive down to the police station to do that.

I don't know what she's going to report stolen but she's a smart cookie. She'll work it all out.
