Somatropin and Height growth

A friend of mine, who is 21, is taking somatropin and he says it can promote additional height-growth in young men whose growth plates haven't yet closed. I found this hard to believe, but is it true? Can somatropin promote height growth in teens and young adults?

yes, but i can bet he wont get any grow...in height from it.

he is prolly too late, even if his growth plates have not closed.....

my lil bro got gh shots from a doc when he was 14.....21 IMHO is too late.

This would be awesome if it were true. Are we talking growth in terms of height via the torso or growth plates in the legs?Pretty sure almost all growth plates in the legs close aroun 16-18 although with males you can grow until upwards of 25 sometimes.
