Im thinking about buying a 50' roll of Suntex 90 and making some screens. We have a couple of 10 ft windows that face west and the afternoon heat in there is not nice. Our power bill is going to be 3-400 bucks this month...

They won't cut that in half as advertised, but have a noticeable affect. my house has 17 windows with it on them and my power bill went from around 375 a month to 300 a month.

They kind of look funny but oh well. I used them for a year and then signed up for flat line billing, you might want to check that out. It made my bill 260 in june and in february too...

Don't know about the solar screens...I built my house to where the sun never shines directly into any window.

But I highly highly recommend an attic fan though, my electric bill is easily half or less than any of my neighbors with the same sized house.
