I went to a restaurant last yr in La Jolla, right on the main strip. It was a mexicano place, all open air. They had a downstairs open air bar,then we at upstairs for dinner (open air again).

Any idea?

Only places I ever eat in La Jolla are on La Jolla BLVD and they are all mexican
On Prospect street Georges on the Cove is nice too. but thats more of a fine dining place

did it have a red awning? On the east side of prospect? That is Alfonsos.

I didn't think that place was 2 stories though.

On the same side of the street you've got Joses, but that's more of a bar. On the west side (ocean facing) you got multi story places like George's.
