Yep. That, and when people say you have a greater chance of dying on the freeway- well it's not like the danger is being traded out. Now you have all the dangers of day-to-day living with a sniper death bonus added on.

Why doesn't this sort of thing happen in other countries?. Why, because countries like Australia for example have very tight gun control laws. Sorry people, but it's that easy. Cut down the number of guns=substantially reduced number of deaths.

I had a feeling the pro-gun lobby would react quickly
Manny, hate to disappoint you, but take away a gun from any violent situation and what do you have? Sure, if someone really wants to get themselves a gun they can, but on the whole, you take guns out of society and deaths drop. If you refute that you need head examined, plain and simple.

America has a VERY low murder rate by comparison.

gun control laws usually concern handgun, military weapons, submachine guns ..... For snipping all you need is a good hunting riffle with a scope. And skills. That's it. No gun law could stop that. a nutcase is a nutcase.
Sofageorge: right on. Look at Mexico, they even banned recently fake guns, and Mexico city is one of the most dangerous.....

Just keep in mind that although I was raised by radicals I didn't turn out to be one.....well, not much of one anyway
