One of my friends works at the local Dodge lot, and he invited me to take thier lone Viper RT/10 out for a spin this afternoon.

It's too bad the damn things cost $100,000...which is about ten times my annual income.

400 horepower + my stupid ego = me probably dieing in a huge crash. It'd be worth it though. :)

and i think its mid $70's for a viper.

70K American is about 100K in Canadian dollars. lol You guys have it sooooo good down there. :)

Yeah, my freind was telling me not to hammer the gas. He's spun out on tight turns a few times...

Fuck that,.... those things are underpowered. ..... You should give it plenty of gas and let the clutch out rapidly and you continue to press the gas pedel.

Yeah, now that you mention it I belive it's around 450HP or so. Have you seen the new body style? Personally, I hate it -- looks too much like a cheap 'vette clone.

The one I'm gonna be driving is a 2000 model. Damn, it better not rain...

I just know I wish I had one. Talk about a power chubby....

Damn right. With a car like that, you could have a dick the size of Happy Scrappys and girls would still be all over you.

Vipers are fun to drive but try a 650 rwhp Supra and you will never go back to American muscle again. Don't get me wrong I have and will conitnue to buy American muscle cars but they just don't have that top end pull. Just love blowing by a modded Busa at about 170-180 mph.

if its one thing playing computer games like GT have taught, me, its dont choose the viper unless u wanna spin out at every turn :D

have fun.....but dont crash. those cars are not too great impact wise i've heard

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN, that is one fast automobile. I swear, I can't stop smiling. :D

Vipers are tough to steer at low speeds...shit, at least I don't have to work arms this week. And I think I put at least an inch on my left calf from having to work the clutch -- damn thing felt like it was burried in cement. :lmao:

No major spinnouts, but I hit the gas a little hard once or twice and fishtaled around a few corners.

Talk about power, I hit 100 mph in 2ed gear. Actually, it's kinda scary in a car like that, when just tapping the gas pedeal on the highway can rocket you forward by another 20 mph.

No body roll. No understeer/oversteer. My only real complaint would be lack of a roof (which can be avoided by purchasing the GTS) and a crappy Dodge sound system.

And, damn, that car draws attention. We had people following us during the whole test drive (well, until we hit the highway...then we left 'em in our dust hehehe).

Anyway, maybe I'll buy a used one someday. I've seen a few early models gong for around $40K. Great way to spend to afternoon though. :)

What? Vanilla Ice didn't come by on his bike and use the hood for a ramp?

I have a Vette and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! My next car I want to be a Viper though. Love em, make my undies moist.

those things have wild torque and they go trhough a lot of tires b/c of it.
my friend just got a used RT/10 and I think the tires are something rediculous like $300 each.
