So if deadlifts are supposed to be so great..

Sorry, but I get a little miffed with the natties who try to make it sound like they are so noble and train so hard becuase they are. The fucking fact of the matter is, if this were true, there would not being tiny guys using high doses of gear and getting nowhere. Steroids are not a shortcut, teh make you work harder, if you wnat to get anything out fo them. The primary advatage they offer is enhanced recovery ability. This emans you can train harder and longer, grow and recover faster, then get in teh gym again. In my experience almost ALL of the holier than thou natties, as well as the greater majority of juiced peeps all train like pussies.

I never said you'll build a championship back, but you will build a decent amount of muscle without deadlifts if you juice. Try doing it natural without deads and your back will look weak and shallow.

Even a minimal amount of steroids will make a considerable difference. A mate of mine juiced (small dosage) for a month and trained two times a week, sometimes he'd miss workouts and he still put on 15 pounds.......sure alot of it was water, but his strength exploded as did his muscles.

Let's not bullshit ourselves by playing down the role of steroids.

If you were to get off the juice, i guarantee you your back would look piss weak without deads......guaranteed!!

I never said i was holier than though, simply pointing to the differences between the benefits of certain exercises over others when taking into account whether someone uses AAS or is natural.

A few guys do SLDL for hams, but near zero do traditional deadlifts.

I don't do them, and anticipate I will continue this trend into the future.

where do you train? when I worked out at Sports Club LA- no one did deadlifts either-it was 90% machines & cables... at Golds- its more hardcore & everyone does the big three!!

anyway- i think its pretty silly to blindly follow what everyone else is doing... your missing out on a great workout.
 
Deadlifts really helps my back.

If... I could squat better than deadlift, and I could keep my back up with squats without deadlifting... then I might not deadlift. In that case, good mornings would probably be better anyway.

But I can deadlift more than I can squat, so deadlifts are a more anabolic exercise for me.
 
i start trends in my gym. people tend to copy me after a while. deadlifts and barbell rows are the #1 exercies they copy from me. most people in there dont really know many back exercises so after a while and dozens of people asking me what i am doing there are about 7 or 8 consistent DL'ers in the gym. all due to me. :D seriously, they had never DL'ed before until i taught them. there were 2 guys in the gym doing them today. one a kinda friend of mine (taught him) and a PT (taught him too, amazing that he is a pt) working in together. both were struggling with 205, lol.
 
Life just aint fun anymore without deadlifts. FUCK the benefits!! When Im not deadliftin Im tearin new assholes at a hole punchin factory in Idaho. Hidey Ho!!
