I think I have a thread about it some where. But anyways
I have a question. I had my wisdom tooth removed and now I have a bump in my mouth. right on my gums near where my wisdom tooth was It looks like a cancker sore or whatever. But it is hard and jagged. My mom told me that it is a bone chip and will pop out on its own.
Is this true?
Getting a dentist appt takes forever and I dont want to make the appt and drive all the way there to hear that it will pop out on its own....

welfare should cover dentist appointments. if it doesnt let me know and next paycheck Ill just Western Union you the money directly instead of doing that whole Government disbursement crap.
Hahahahaha.
Actually I have dental insurance. However I see an oral surgeon so they are a bit of a travel, and also not to mention the fact that they are currently scheduling patients for march due to the fact that they are one of the best oral surgeons in the area...
But thanks for caring enough to repond with an asshole response!

That could be an abcess.....are you runnin antibiotics?

It is not an abcess. I had one of those and that is why they pulled the teeth out. I had them (wisdom and molar) removed back in november.
I am done with antibiotics back when the dentist took out the stitches he said that it looked "great". I heard that people get bone chips or whatever. My mom told me it is a bone chip and it will pop out almost like a tooth or whatever, but she thinks she knows every thing.

ok I can accept that kinda. It is located on my gums on the inner side so that my tongue rubs up against it. It is hard and jagged. At first I thought I had irritated it by eating gold fish?!
It literally feels like a tooth or a bone or some thing along that idea.
The whole area looks normal so it is not like I wounded it eating the gold fish and it is not a abcess or whatever.
Damn it. I guess when I go in for blood work and migrain meds I will ask the doc if maybe she knows. I would just hate to sit here worrying for a month before I get into the dentist, drive all the way there and all that to be told that it will be ok!

Get some needle nose pliers and pull it out.
Sure and then I will also get a nice infection with it!
I have been pushing on it in an upward fashion hoping to bring it to the surface a little faster.
I researched some stuff online but it is not the best of info that I could use right now. Damn it. I wish there was some type of pictures that I could look at and compare to!

it'll go away in time. bone fragment or scar tissue - either way, not to worry unless it's tender in that area, more swolllen than usual, etc. you know the deal.

Been reading online it is either
sequestrii or retaining root.
I am thinking more of sequestrii type of thing. But sequestrii is more comman with dry socket and such, which I did not have. I guess i will leave it alone and see if it goes away. But I guess this can be to blame for my daily migrain that I have had since christmas.

if it's something hard just pull it out with some pliers.
