so i got this puppy

she's a bull terrier. very cute, but only 9 weeks old so she bites everything and has to go out every 20 minutes.

I named her meatball, cause i like the name. not PETEY, like the little rascals dog because that was a pitbull or something, not a bull terrier, and cause i hate when people name their pets after well known animals that look like theirs, like lassie and morris.
the kids wanted to name it "grandma" cause they thought it would be funny to tell their friends they had to walk grandma or that grandma peed on the floor. i just thought it would be funny to name your animal Peeve. just so you could say, this is my pet peeve.

and, although i dont have a newborn (THANK GOODNESS) but i do have a 8 month old cat, an older dog, and now the puppy (my kids are 8 years old and 13). i don't think you'd get any jealousy of the baby from the puppy, but as it gets playful, it might try to play/bite with the cat. thats what mine has been doing.
i was hoping the cat would just seek higher ground and stop it, but instead he's like playing guerilla warfare with the dog and leaping out at it and they tumbling down the hallway, biting eachother till i start screaming and grab one of them away.
you might be better off getting the dog now, so that your gf isn't cleaning up dog AND babyshit every 10 minutes.
