Something totally sureal happened to me today:
I been looking for a job in my field(civil engineering) for some time now but I remained unsucessful. Basically for every job interview, I would go in dressed professional, with my job resume, letter of recomendation from professors, you know the whole 9 yard bullshit. I had another job interview today and I decided to do something totally different for it. I walked in without a resume, no pen, dressed cassual, unshaved, pretty much looking like an hobo, and not really giving a fuck.
Talked with my future boss*hint* and guess what most small business don't give a fuck about college students GPA. Beause all the stuff you learn in college is somewhat outdated or it doesn't really addapt to the way business in conducted in real world. Hell throughout the entire interview he didn't even ask what my GPA was or how I was doing in my classes. So what did I learn? Its all about personality!
Somethings I never did in prior job interviews, that I did today:
*used profanity multiple times.
*asked the interviewer if he wanted to take a smoke break(the interview lasted an hour)
