(lol, I dont even know why I'm baggin on asians today....prolly cuz u fuckers are all so much smarter than me...)

HE will be the #1 Olympian in history in 24 hrs.! He is tied with 9 golds and will have 10 soon! He is the best swimmer in the world, period!

Fugger has flippers for feet.

They call him Flipper, Flipper, faster than lightning,
No one you see, is smarter than he,
And we know Flipper, lives in a world full of wonder,
Flying there under, under the sea!

Hahaha.
I'd never heard of him (the swimmer) until this week.
Flipper was awesome when I was a kid. Better than Gentle Ben - lol.

Far from the greatest athlete or Olympian ever.

As a swimmer.
dudeeeee .. did u seem him catch the french swimmer from like over 10 body lengths in the final lap of the relays..sickkk .. dude is unreal

If you are the best swimmer in the world then you can win close to 10 golds in the Olympics. If you are the best wrestler in the world you can only win one gold medal in the Olympics. So basicly there's nothing impressive in Phelps other than his the best male swimmer at the moment. The amount of medals won't mean a shit.

Awwww, that's what you meant. That's true of track and field also?
Isn't the decathlon winner generally considered the best athlete in the world?
Honestly the Olympics aren't very entertaining to me, but I still admire the work, dedication, doping (using, and the brilliant methods of avoiding detection), and genetics that go into being successful at it.
And some of the womminz are unbelievably hot...

Whatever happened to that Aussie bloke "Torpedo" Thorpe? Not been following the swimming.

He got old.

Phelps will go down as probably the greatest for now but I have to believe Thorpepo may have been better. Phelps did not beat him when they were both in their prime.

Phelps beat Thorpe's records but all records are being smashed now as a product of the new pools and swimwear.

Phelps is in his prime now.

We're watching history. Right now he is the best ever.

Thorpe retired.... and Phelps was inches from beating him last time they raced. And Phelps is in his Prime NOW, Not back when they raced. Phelps in his prime would beat Thorpe in his prime, even without the new pools/swimwear.

Who beats who, um... well we can't tell, because the one was from a different time period. One could argue the training now is so different that the old guy, if trained like the new guy, would beat him. Then we could argue that the swim trunk are a tad bit tighter. Or that Phelp's shaves his legs better. Or that other guy you mentioned wasn't at his prime when they raced each other. Did that cover it?

Nah - don't agree. Thorpedo dominated when we was younger all the way until he retired. Nobody beat him, including Phelps.

Well.... Phelps almost beat him when he wasn't in his prime. yes I know.... A loss is still a loss.but Torpedo has what? 5 golds in two games? Phelps has how many?? is it 9 now? sounds like Phelps is a little more dominating...Just sayin.

Half from relays.

I will tell you all what's impressive.

Greek weightlifter Pyrros Dimas won gold in 1992, 1996 and 2000. In 2004 Olympics he was still able to take bronze.
