I was wondering if someone can tell me if smoking cigarettes stunts human height if this is done during puberty or the teenage years. I heard that this statement is an old wive's tale from a few sources and is true from other sources. Can an expert please confirm if this right or wrong? My friend insists that the above statement is true, but I don't agree with him. What are the facts and why would people even say this statement if it isn't even true? Are there any documented cases that it does stunt growth or were your parents just trying to scare you from not smoking cigarettes. Thanks
