I'm an avid weightlifter who happens to smoke a pack or so a day. I know it's fucking stupid but I can't fricken quit. Anyway, I'm taking HGH and winny for now. I hear, although it hasn't been confirmed, HGH acclerates the growth of both good and bad cells.

Basically, if you're healthy and taking HGH it makes you healthier -(Slows the aging process, Look and feel younger, healthier increase energy Lose weight, improve body composition, Gain lean muscle, lose fat, Reduce stress, etc....

On the other hand, if you are putting carcigens in your system like cigarette smoke it also accelerates the growth of cancer cells -hence you die quicker. Like everything else, there's conflicting stories. Is a smoker putting himself at greater risk when he takes HGH??

I know this thread will probably invite some some real smart ass remarks but in all seriousness I really would like to get peoples' feedback.

I am 52 and have done many cycles.

Both winny and growth aggravate my joints,

smoking any thing, tobacco or pot, will inhibit your gains.

Standard physician reply:

Very simple solution to your dilemma - quit smoking

IN all honesty, you will not find a definative anwser to your question. Very, very little research has been done in the field of gh usage by otherwise healthy adults. Everyone of of develop cancerous cells in our body everyday. UNder healthy circumstances, you immune system is able to identify and destroy those cells deemed to be cancerous. The condition cancer develops when either (no one is really sure yet) your immune system is compromised (by prolonged disease, enviromental influences, and old age) or the growth of the cncerous cells simply out paces your bodies natural defenses against them. So in theory, yes, gh can increase cancer risk through increased rate of cell proliferation. However, gh is also a fairly decent immune sytem booster (this is why children are slightly more resistant to colds and the flu).

The net effect of these two varibles is really quite uncertain - more research is desparately needed in the fields of peptide hormone therapy. In a decade or so, this field is going to simply explode as we begin to understand gene expression and protein synthesis at the cellular level. Instead of using gh, the specific protein messangers responsible for gh's (and igf-1's) beneficial characteristics will be identified and used instead.
