Sledding accident

So we were sledding with our kids today and my oldest son (9) went straight into a tree stump, that mind you was way off course how he managed to go there is beyond me..Well after 1 hour of not being able to bear weight needto took him to e.r, I was thinking maybe hairline fracture of tibia or fibia..I obviously have to stay home with the other 2 monsters. Needless to say he just called me and they are awaiting a surgical orthopedist. Well, his leg is fine!! WOOOHOOOO
However, he has broken 5 metatarsals and it is possible that the only correction would be surgical pins....FUCK I am awaiting the next call so I can take off and go be with him..Nice thing about it is that if they do do the surgery tonight we will all be stuck there until tuesday due to this lovely f'n noreaster that is coming..I am going out of my mind, I wish I was there..I wish I was strong enough to carry my baby so needto could be here in my shoes and me there with my baby. Got a sitter on stand by, just may still get her over here so I can go be with him.This sucks sitting here by the phone..Please pray he will be ok, he does not do well with anesthesia and last time he had surgery it was a nightmare...I wish for just a full footed cast..shit shit shit

Ok needto is on phone right now, and they are releasing my son and has a follow up tues or wednesday. They are looking into casting and giving it a bit and then if not healing then surgery....I am so fucking thankful

Just got back. little needto is alright. They will put a cast on in in a few days. He did not brake any thing but he fractured 2 metatarsals. Tough kid though. I am just happy thats all it is and all he needs is a cast. Kids will be kids. He will be back out sledding in no time.

Make them X-Ray it again soon...make sure it's not healing wrong. They put a cast on me and had to re-break & put pins in my hand three weeks later because the "specialist" set the bones wrong.

He will be going in to see the orthopedic dr with in the next two days and I am sure that they will cast it and then every two weeks do an xray to ensure that it is healing correctly. that is usually how they do it will younger kids. cousins kid has a broken tibia right now and he has been going in and getting xrays continuously to make sure it is healing the right way...Man was he in pain and slept for about 3 hours total. But I think the throbbing from the swelling going down is not helping either! when I call to schedule the follow up I am going to ask if he can have a little something more than tylenol. Maybe codiene or something. who knows, all I know is I am tired, and I hate seeing my kids in pain
