what mountain? I dont think i have ever hiked in the winter in case a freak snow storm came.

Those were taken at Rocky Mountain Natl. Park. It was actually taken in April. We were so high up in the mountains the snow base was around 10 feet. It wasn't cold though, that was the cool part. Everyone else there had on all the outdoor gear ie. snow shoes, ski poles, snow pants, gloves etc.. My brother and I show up in shorts and running shoes, everyone we passed made comments that we were crazy. I'm very suprised neither one of us sustained any kind of injuries :)

cool pics maing. went skydiving once during one of my breaks at work - very spontaneous type of thing. it wasn't as scary as I expected. fun as hell though.

Boulder is one of the prettiest cities in this country, as far as being surrounded by natural scenery. I am there almost every weekend. Going to a CU game and sitting in Folsom Field with the Flatirons in the background make it by far the most amazing place (that I have seen) to go watch a football game (it would be even better if they won once in a while!!) My GF's parents own a house in the foothills and also have a lakefront "cabin" in the mountains within walking distance of Rocky Mountain National Park... So, I am up there quite a bit. Some of the trails and scenery are simply beyond belief... they are so beautiful!!! Rocky Mountain National Park is just one of the most spectacular places on this planet and I hope that everyone would have a chance to see it sometime.... :)

Yea my brother's condo is only a couple of miles from the irons, there are a few pics with them in the background. I hope to move out there sometime eventually. I just loved how healthy everyone was and on any given day you'll see everyone out running or biking. I bet your gf's parents cabin is amazing, property isn't cheap in thoose parts :chomp:

Boulder is a unique place... The politics are insane, but if you can get past that, it is an awesome place to live. It isn't cheap though! I live in Denver, and most of Colorado in general is suprisingly fitness oriented. There are trails for biking or running all over here, even in the middle of the city... Very cool.

The place in the mountains is amazing... I use the term "cabin" loosely because most "cabins" are not 10,000 square feet and have a guest house.... Aside from that, it is one of my favorite places to be... up in the mountains. :)

grew up about 2 hours from there, went there every once in awhile... good fun

I have to try that some day

The plane ride up was terrifying but the free fall was almost euphoric, very relaxing and serene; minus the air blowing at you at 150mph ;)

I wake up to see the Rockies every day I am home, and at work I can see the flatirons to the north. I spent a good deal of my childhood in RMNP hicking, camping, fishing, etc. I hate everyday I wake up and don't see mountains because I am in some hellhole for work, but what can you do. I spent lots of time looking at the flatirons as I went to school in boulder, and being a geologist it's kind of what I do. ;)

Great pics man, hit me up next time you come out this way.

Cheers,
Scotsman

You don't know the half of it :rainbow:

KIDDING!

I was actually wondering when someone was going to comment on the fat guy strapped to my back, suprised it took so long. Yea he was full of jokes about it too.

It was around a buck fifty but that included the pics and a very well put together dvd that followed you through the entire process (w/ interviews and set to music etc.) very suprised as to how well it was put together.

To get certified I believe you pay 1500.00 and that includes 6 jumps and your certification. After your certified it costs only 20 dollars to jump. When you go for the first time they really push it on you, I don't know if they get paid commision or what.

I think they just want the big sale upfront.
