Skipping breakfast?

I think pwo is the most important of the day... Breakfast is a close second :)

wrong. Breakfest is the meal that turns everything back on. It gets you back into a anabolic state. It turns on metabolism, it gets the whole muscle building process moving again. All of this is on hold until you eat that first meal.

Someone in the gym asked me the other day about how to lose some fat but not lose muscle. I asked him to tell me about his diet and he said, for the most part he eats really clean (sure, everybody says that).

I asked him what that meant and as he started to stutter, I said, "Tell me your usual daily breakfast." He told me he usually skips breakfast!!! He said he just got his coffee and that allowed him to cut some calories and still have energy to get him through the morning.

Holy shit! Well, there's your first mistake! I knew this wasn't going to be a short conversation!

I was reminded of this while reading through a website of one of our sponsors, and it's written pretty well there, so I will paste it here in case any of you (I'm sure not) are also skipping breakfast.

(from www.fitnessparadiseworld.com)

Skipping breakfast may seem to be a good idea, and indeed that seems to be the case for quite a lot of dieters. Some people just do not feel like eating from the first moment they wake up, while others see it as an easy way to avoid a few calories.

The problem with this though is that it is actually counterproductive to avoid breakfast. In fact, studies have revealed that far from causing you to lose calories skipping breakfast can greatly increase your chances of gaining weight.

There are several reasons for this. One of the main ones is that breakfast acts to fire up the body’s metabolism for the rest of the day. By delaying this process you will be less energetic and less able to cope with processing the foodstuffs and snacks that enter your body at a later time in the day

Also those who skip this very important meal at the start of the day, tend to end up eating more towards the end of it. Try to make sure that your breakfast is a healthy one avoiding fatty and processed foods, such as bacon or sausages. Stick to wholegrain cereals , whole meal bread, fruit and boiled eggs.

BWAHAHHAHAA what about some NTBM protein pancakes if added to a bulk stack and trying to gain weight.

Hmmmm

I dint skip breakfast or pwo... But that's jus my opinion.. I'm big on pwo

Ether way they are part of the 3 most impotent meals. am post work out and before bed. Yes all others need to be added and are impotent too but these are the 3 that make the most difference.

  ;)

good post by the way.... People r so much in a hurry to get out the house... StAr bucks has oatmeal for 2.00 throw a scoop of whey in there n bam! I keep protien in my car

Too each his own but if I try to work out after having eaten I'd more than likely throw up. Light weight stuff wouldn't bother me too much but heavy lifting would definitely make me ralph. Kai Green waits at least a couple of hours to 3 hours after a meal before he works outs.

I puke after almost every work out and hold it back through out

The thing I find most amazing about all of this is that CEO was actually at a gym...LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL, CEO bro you know I was just bullshitting. CEO has helped me a great deal with my diet and I appreciate him greatly. This cat knows how to eat to grow. Thanks for all you do for EF brutha.

its a sausage fest up in here....

jus sayin

is this because you guys are discussing breakfast?

Throwing up after a workout is about as catabolic as smoking crystal meth. I would figure out a way to avoid this if at all possible.
