Maybe he means that blacks are only 12% of our population yet make up a large percentage of the prison population. And these people aren't getting locked up because of their color, they are actually found guilty of the crimes they are being charged for..most of them without a reasonable doubt.

It reminds me of those profiling cases in NJ with the state troopers. Even though they were pulling people over based on race, these cops were still finding illegal things in their possession, it was so much of a common occurrence that they stuck to that method for finding criminals....and it worked. Of course there were a few innocent that were searched and nothing found, but there were enough instances where they did find something to somewhat justify their purpose. It is the cops fault for not being articulate enough in explaining themselves that made them look more racist than they were instead of showing that most of the time these searches did turn up something worth looking into.

Yes, there are more blacks in prison (per capita) for murder than whites. What are you trying to conclude? (I'll help, since you evidently need it).

Are you claiming that:

Blacks are more likely to kill people? They are in jail because they are black? Are they killing because they are black? or is it economic? Or is it judicial bias? What do you think it is? Give me something, not just a statement.

As far as my opinions, I think the incarceration rate (for murder or any other serious crime) trends along economic lines, not racial ones. Blacks tend to be poorer after several hundred years of racial discrimination, which from the tone of your post is still going on.
