If I were an astronaut I'd tell the big bosses at NASA that I wasn't fucking going anywhere as long as chunks of foam were falling off the shuttle while it was still sitting on the fucking launch pad.

They need to get rid of that overhyped, failed, death trap of a machine. When they built that is was supposed to be cheap to run and also turn around time was supposed to be 2 weeks or something like that. So it failed business wise and what are the odds of the shuttle blowing up? 1 in 50? Not sure how many times the shuttle has gone up.

there'll still be a NASA but it might give the greenlight to scrap the program early and implement a radically different objective.
