bro i was in your shoe's

i have no insurance and shoulder's where fubar!

so far ive spent around 450.00 over a few weeks with my physical therapist, im just about pain free and stronger than ever ( shoulder's)

go see a PT

bro....google "shoulderhorn"....it's a device which jacks your arms out to the side so you can only move your arm from the elbow down. You do shoulder fly's like this....it mimicks an excercise that a PT would have you do, but it isolates the small muscles in your shoulder girdle, takes your delts out of the equation. That device and swimming have brought my shoulders back from the dead.

bro like i said i was in your shoe's, i was online 24/7 for 3 years LOOKING FOR RELIEF

GO SEE A DOC!!!!!

Prolotherapy. Avoid anti-inflamatories and the exercises that cause pain until your healed.

Please be careful with Prolotherapy. I had a nasty reaction last week when my doc hit my R Shoulder with about 10 injections. My entire arm and right axilla swelled up 3x the size of the other....presented with celllulitis...and excrutiating pain....

Just be aware...

I'll give you my culminative experience with shoulder / upper back pain and with PT's, doctor's, chiro's, ortho's.. the ortho surgeon didn't help much... his last resort was to start cortisone injections.... MRI's showed I had a bad C-spine and impinged shoulders... PT wasn't of much help, but I did get some valuable stretches / exercises from him... plus was told to ice 3 times a day (great for inflammation, better than popping NSAID's)... my chiro was of most help and still is to this day... between the adjustments and massage and stretches, he's gotten me in much better shape today....

Check out that shoulderhorn, it works..... do light stretches with and without light weights, as well as bands...the theory is you want to strengthen the secondary muscles which become weaker since when you train, you work your primary larger muscles alot more... also stretch for 5-10 mins before working out and stretch during and after

Good luck bro!

I agree that physical therapy is a good start, but I have had several shoulder operations...

If there is a problem, such as impengment, nothing but surgury will help it get better. Actually PT even made mine worse.

thats why i said, get insurance when you can, then go to an othopedist.

depends on the severity of impingement.... light to moderate impingement can often be treated with chiropractic care and rehabilitative exercises

but from my understanding, impingement is when bone is pushing down on or restricting movements of muscle, tendons, nerves...

The only way I know to fix that is surgury, by that i mean cut the bone. the bone will not retract with PT.

not disagreeing with you, just trying to learn more too

thanks for all the adive everybody. i tell you this since i did shoulders 3 three days ago my right one hurts like a bitch this nasty dulling pain. My left one hurts when i lift and is weak it sucks. I mean its right in the middle up the upper deltiod. What really fucked its both of my shoulders now which really sucks ass. I am going to try the shoulder horn i called around to every pt i could fine and nobody has one or knows what it is . I read alot about it and it seems it is exactly what i have. These whole five years i have been lifting that part of my shoulder never got stronger and as the weights got heavier the more strain my shoulders toke.I will slowly try the shoulderhorn to gain strengh in that aera of my shoulders. Just worries me cause every time i do shoulders theyfucking hurt for over a week. Its like the weak ass muscles in my shoulders take such punushment because there not that strong. I hope this works i have had this pain for about 5 years so if this works i will prolly break down and cry like a little girl to be pain fee. I will stop doing shoulders until i am pain free bencing and when that happens i will slowly start shoulders the right way. Thanks again guys advice is always welcome. Now just to come up with the 60 bucks to buy the thing i will keep you guys posted on my progress

i had 2 surguries. one was a labrium tear (from doing skull crusher excerises)
they repaired that.

then it got better. Then i started having chronic pain in my shoulder again. i went though PT and cortisone injections. PT did nothing for me, the cortisone temperaly helped.

so they did surgury again (scope) and cut a bone spur off of my Acromian, which was pushing down on my rotator cuff. That is my my rotator cuff was inflammed and would not heal, giving me constant pain.
also, they cut the end of my clavicle off, where it meets the acromian. there is supposed to be nice smooth cartilage on the each side of the joint where they meet. turns out, the cartilage on the clavicle was almost completely gone. so it was raw bone rubbing against the other side of the joing(acromian). so he cut the end of my clavicle off so it can not meet anymore.

it has been a few months after the last surgury and i am already back in the gym. not going heavy yet, but at least back. turns out the first surgury, where he just put an anchor in the torn labrium, was much worse the the second surgury where he just cut bone.

some of this is genetic, but the said the working out hard over the past 9 or 10 years caused a lot of it
