i need some real help, i can't even lift it over my head...i take MSM
how long should i not lift and what else can i take, asprin

also Tomas's makes bagels

msm is good for skin - matters less for joints.
glucosomine sulfate (sp?) is the stuff for joints - and people usually do mix it with the msm.
gh will help too, but a bit pricey :)

aspirin is an anti inflammatory sso u could try that. paracetemol wont do much to reduce inflammation, just heat. ibuprofen sounds cool, so munch down some advil maybe :)(fricking yank medications)

as for your shoulder]

it sounds FUCKED. sorry. i was reading about rotator cuff injuries and apparently if you cant abduct your shoulder with out intense pain its a sign its a bad injury and if you can't physically move it, them maybe somehings ripped/torn/broke/not working nicely

sounds like a trip to the doc :(

u could try iceing it too :)

hopefully not i usally just work through the pain, i destest doctors so much that i often perform my own minor surgery

hopefully it will be better by tomm, im go to pop motrin like its candy and of course CREATINE

You should take chondriton with the glucosamine sulfate it will aid in the breakdown phase of the compounds. Also take Ibuprofen to alleviate the swelling along with doans pills (Magnesium silicate).

Then go to a doc if you have lost serious range of motion for and x-ray. If need be get a cortizone shot. They last anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months. Depends on the individual.

Bro, dont think worse case scenario just yet. If you can not abduct your shoulder it may just be an impingement that can be taken care of with rest and antiinflamatories.A good test for a rotator cuff injury is to to put your hand of the affected arm on the opposite shoulder. After that, have sombody else push gently down on your arm and then raise it back up. If this causes pain then you may have a tear. If not, the best medication for impingement that we give to our patients is probably going to be VIOXX. See if you can get some of that. It comes in 12.5 and 25mg. You want the 25mg. Take 50mg for the first three days, one time per day, and then take 25mg a day for about another three weeks and you should feel much better. Let me know if I can help out.

Welcome to the my shoulder is fucked up club... I am not only the president... but I'm a member. :)

Cortizone shot? No way... it deteroriates muscle... at least that is what I've read. The best thing to do is movement therapy for it... make sure you increase your range of motion... I do Namath's(sp?)... it helps...

I'm not sure if what I said sounded good, or like something NYC boy would suggest... but ... shit, just e-mail me. :)

Not to mention after my first shoulder injury the doctor told me I'd never bench over 135 again in my life. LOL 8 weeks later I was at 315... can't really do much more than that... but it's hella heavier than 135

thanks boys...i can move over my head but there is way to much pain for my likeing...

well see, like i said i can usally fight through stuff

rest it, ice it, and take two advil every four hours...

and DON'T lift... rest it or you'll potentially make it worse and the recovery time longer.
