recently been diag with this condition.all proof shows strong rotator cuff all tendons good but orth/surgon says its my case....he gave me a shot of cort but what can i really do to help reduce the pain or reduce the damage. im in my 30s. looks like as he said its over with the big wieghts and time for theropy....than said its over period soon with lifting...im bummed hard any suggestions??????

i think if the shoulder is stable you should continue to lift...not power lift, but lift. THis will help to maintain ROM....stop if it gets painful. Do some swimming and things like that as well. DO you have any previous dislocates? Also take glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate

nope no dislocates.im now taking a glo/chon supplement.i was hoping i could get some info from anyone else who has this condition also.whats in my future? how fkd am i?

I have the same thing and I am going in for surgery. I have calcium deposits with it. He said he'll take it all out and I'll be good to go in about 3 months. ALSO, he told me to continue lifting all I want until surgery. Same age also.

Be careful after cort, masks pain and you can do more damage. "Sulgar" gluco/chondroiton very good. Always rub warming cream pre workout, lots light bent over laterals.Take smaller increases in weight warming up. Most powerlifters rear delts lag behind and when doing lockouts etc the shoulder has no foundation/support. Do lots real light rotator exercises and rear delt stretchers. Have patience, they take a while to come right.Good luck mate!

My shoulder was diagnosed as tendonitis and bursitis. I had a few months of therapy. That didn't help one bit. I then got a cortisone shot which improved it about 50% for the first month but now it's back to where it was before. I need to go back to the orthopod. I guess an MRI is next. I suspect I've got serious calcium deposits.
I'll probably have surgery.
