In regards to this topic, and what this board is about, I cannot formulate an educated thought about why something like this would be deemed plausible, after reading through this thread.

But honestly, it has no bearing on my decision to remain at or leave EF ... on the other hand I can see why others would feel it that way.

i find it so odd that you seem to be one of the very few that continue to say shit like your above post. it wasnt to long ago you were severly up in arms about the whole satch debacle now you seem to have gone through this dramatic change and telling everyone to chill and wait it out while there are still peeps that have access to everyones info. im not one to call anyone out or even respond to bulshit or start bulshit but this situation is a very delicate one and we've got 10+ pages already of peeps sayin this isnt cool whats up etc.. but still no response to us from those that are mods...chairmen of the board(except one and he agrees with the majority) or even GS himself.. yet not to long ago he asked another to join him in plat chat on another thread.just seems funny right there. this situation needs solved and now.. we dont need more shit around here about wait, wait, wait. 10+ pages is plenty of waiting, still no action from the powers that be. sorry to be an asss about this but im a very serious person when it comes to privacy.

and i belive you would and your right i really cant do any thing except voice my opinion and that is what i have done. i have to live a life also and that life includes others and when someone has my info they have more that just mine. i just think the waiting game should have ended oh about 6 or more pages ago. i respect the fact that you call it like you see it with out beatin around the bushes, well im the same way and the bushes wont be there for long this is serious, and it seems that the powers that be have spoken a silent response with out sayin a word.

That's what confuses me - the re-occuring monthly Plat charges amount to some serious $$$$$ - way more than $900-$1200 for a handful of Chairs...................

The way to test this theory would be to call EF and see if you could be COB member but after these posts I guarantee not just anybody can get it now. Before Im sure that wasn't the case.

What is the purpose of this anyway? Why would anyone want IP addresses? And to what benefit to anyone does selling them have except putting money in George's pocket? Who the hell came up with this gay idea? So not only will there be no privacy, but security will be compromised, authorities will have more avenues to obtain IP addresses (if they aren't involved in this already; I really can't see any other reason this would even come about), and a great community will be ruined. I don't get it???

Good point - I can see the feds wanting IP addresses. Especially people that trusted George and have static IP's.

I agree with everything Erzulie said -- except for the part about the PMs. George paid a developer to take away the default ability for admins to read PMs three major versions back, and has paid again to keep it that way with every major update.

We expected better of the new Chaircritters; we didn't provide them with a handbook, and I think it's been an eye-opening experience. The cynical might say "Hey, maybe there's a reason these guys weren't already mods, y'know?" Well, let's not go that far.

As for why mods and admins haven't been posting in this thread -- I'm not about to put words in George's mouth, and I imagine most of the mods feel the same way (speaking only for myself). I would suggest you wait for George to respond. Thanks.
