Should I go on HRT

Hey guys. Im about to turn 24 and I have low test from doing previous cycles and prohormones since I was 16. Stupid decision on my part, a lot of time I did PCT as well, I just think its the amount that Ive done that has caused me to have lower and lower test after coming off. My test levels were 299 and I have all the symptoms. I have a banging fiance and I dont feel like having sex with her that often, I cant seem to gain any strength in the gym or have any motivation, energy is whack and I have some anxiety and get depression here and there.

The doc told me that my levels were fine, even though I know theyre not. I feel like I should be in the 500-700 range. I feel like I will eventually go on HRT but before I did I was wondering what I could do to try and naturally bring it back?

I took some clomid and HCGenerate and my test levels shot way up, but I havent gotten a blood test since, and I also got on a prohormone right after that so I dont know what happened to my test levels. I dont want to waste a bunch of money on supps to rise my test, ONLY to have my test go back down to where it was when im off the supps. If that was the case I might as well start HRT.

I am willing to try one time to raise my test naturally, but if it doesnt stay high after I come off then I am gonna do HRT. So does anyone know of a stack I could take to raise my natty test permanently?

BTW, I have 2 kids so I dont care about sperm count or any of that shit lol

Stevesmi had a good post on a natty "bring back your test levels" protocol, he'll probably chime in..

My 2 cents; do whatever you can to avoid TRT @ your age...I see your point on supps being a band aid and possibly ending up in the same place, but IMO TRT is a last resort......

You got it brotha

You are too young to be throwing in the towel just yet bud. You might try a stack of HCGenerate and Dspark with a little Clomid for a good 6-8 weeks.

I cant find stevesmi's post about the protocol

I actually did take HCGenerate and clomid and my test level went to 800 something, but then I did a prohormone so idk where its at now, i am willing to try one more stack of stuff but i need to see if it permanently gets it back up, not just while im on it u know?

Your first step should be to get bloodwork done so you can see where you are at RIGHT NOW. That will help you choose how to proceed from there and give you test results before boosting your levels as a baseline

I could be wrong.. but dident you post about this subject alittle while ago? I swear I remember it, correct me if i'm wrong.

Hi Gladiator

I remember you too. You said you were going to try the Clomid after pro-hormones cycle to restart T production. I haven't got the PM anymore or I'd have reread it.

I cannot add much to what's been said. You need to go from what your bloods tell you, as RickRock advises. I'm having a confab with a guy in a similar situation as your own, well several guys in fact. My experience of talking with others is that a level of 299 (total T) is unlikely to be treated with HRT at your age. As unfair as it seems, GP's know little of androgens bar what a reference range tells them. The reference range for you puts you round about low-normal. At this level many symptoms of low testosterone may be present, but the only advice you'll get (if any) is to exercise and eat healthily. However, should erectile disfunction and libido come into play, it may sway a doctor to take your level more seriously.

Still, TRT is a solution if this is indeed diagnosed as a health problem in your case. Nevertheless, I'd urge you to regularly monitor your blood levels for Free and Total T; Luteinizing hormone, Follicle Stimulating Hormone; oestriadol, and prolactin. Ask your doctor to ensure he tests for all these, because identifying a cause or source of your problem will help you hone in and focus on a specific solution.

As for what you can do in the mean time?
Well, it's essential you stay off-cycle for a long enough period of time to gauge your natural levels of all the above hormones. Did you manage to read the article about restarting testosterone production? Did you glean anything from it of use to your own situation?

Now, I'm not an advocate of nutritional supplements that have dodgy or inflated reputations in the absence of scientifically backed evidence to support them. However, there is some evidence to suggest that - in some people - Tribulus (with a high percentage of saponins content) raises levels of Luteinizing Hormone, which in turn signals the testes to secrete testosterone. I suppose you could see what happens over a period of 8 weeks or so. I'm not sure even if that would suffice to restart/increase T levels permanently, but you won't know unless you try. I'd say there's about a 20% chance it might work to some extent, but far less, probably 4%, for Tribulus to restart permanently.

It might just be a case of time. It can take more than 12 months for some guys to get back to good mid-range levels of natural testosterone. Moreover, for you, this might be as good as your going to get now you're into your third decade. It's a shame you didn't get a baseline reading of testosterone prior to doing any cycles at all. This would be the very best way of evaluating and making comparisons, as to whether this is your absolute natural level, or conversely, if you are hypogonadal.

At the end of the day though, you need to get the blood work done.

All the best.

At 24, your body should be able to eventually get back up to a good level of test, but the key is to quit effing with your HTP axis for a long time, to let your body function naturally. Something like Hcgenerate might be good to jump start yourself, but eventually you want to just produce without taking anything, so you need to give your body time to do that.
