Shit went DOWN on the beach today.

Exactly.

The police will not / cannot physically back away from a confrontation. That is a slippery slope and when push comes to shuve, even over a water slide, if the civilians do not follow police orders - the situation will escalate even to the point of SWAT from the feds.

ya, i no longer head down there on big weekends because of all the stupid kids out there. id rather just kick it than deal with that shit

Ummm, that was in New York a few years ago, and it WASN'T a movie. The guy settled a lawsuit for a huge sum.

It's stupid to fuck with cops. A few weeks ago I saw a guy that was getting pulled over bolt out of his car and run across the street trying to get away. The cops were on him so fast it was ridiculous. They took him down hard, like Urlacher hard, and were kneeling on his head pushing his face into the street as they cuffed him. No way I'd ever mess with that.
