If some of you guys came into some of the bars and clubs I frequent I can gaurantee you would be leaving in an ambulance.
Personally I could care less, but this whole "just want to show our hard work" is a crock of shit and is one of the reason bodybuilders are looked at as narcisstic assholes.
Not a flame just my opinion.

It depends what type of club you are in whether or not you take your shirt off. Personally I dont like it. Who wants a sweat, dirty bastard rubbing past you whilst dancing!!!
In England I think girls will just think you are a big headed knob if you took your shirt off even if you have a great body. People go more for the music and the atmosphere. In the clubs I go to I never pull as I simply dont have time. Im there to see my fav djs like Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath. If I get lucky with a girl then great but in most clubs they will not be impressed if you take your shirt off here.

I work in a proffesional corporate office environment (it sux) but last time I did this the UPS guy beat the crap out of me in front of some chicks that work here. so it kinda sucks but I still take er off you walk by my office Im sittin in there at my pc on elite fitness with no shirt everyone else is wearin suits. u gotta be different right?

You're like me then. The thing that pisses me off about SF is that the bouncers want you to put your shirt back on when you go up to the 4th floor. So I put it on, then take it right back off as soon as I get away from the steps. I work too hard for that BS!

the guys who go shirtless are usually the ugly fuckers who only have their body going for them, and usually the body isnt that impressive at all. these are the same guys you will NEVER see in some classy outfit that doesnt show off their body, they consider a tight BANG BANG shirt as being classy, little do they know that they look like a has been wanna be bodybuilder from the 80's.
oh and also theres my favorite type "the 1st cycle fags" who think they big after 1 cyle and pimping their little 17.5 inch biceps and weighing under 200 lbs... lol...those guys are usually the source of my amusement in a club.

NY Muscle ... Don't take this the wrong way bro, but I think you need to post a picture with some of the bold statments your making. In lots of ways I agree with you. I think your right about the kids who abuse drugs like K and E and wonder why they still weigh 140 lbs soaking wet with moon boats on. On the other hand ... I shop at Bang Bang. Now I don't think a tight ass baby gap fitting silk shirt represents class, but either does a cheese dick whereing a Keneth Cole/Armani/Mosschino suit. I hate those loppi pop fucks who role up to the NYC lounges and spend all there money on drinks for the ladies, and go home broke and are struggling with gas money for the next two weeks. Class isn't represented by the lable you wear, it's show by how you present your self. I know lot's of guys who wear muscle shirts when they go out ... and believe me when I tell you, they have just as much class as the next guy.

but its the lycra/spandex shirts that are too stereotypical of a musclehead so to say, that was popular in the 80's that i cant stand when guys wear them, it just that these are the guys that feed into the stereotype and i wish bang bang sold only baggy short sleave shirts, lol. just like u speak of class, they give all the guys that actually are big and not the stereotypical juicehead a bad name, and give the haters more crap to add to the stereotype. .....as far as how big i am or what i weigh or my pics, its pointless, i could tell u im 350lbs for all that matters or show u a pic and people will call me fake...the last time i put my pics up i got called fake and thats rediculous, like im gonna post a fake pic.

you may be one of them, then again you may be 275 and ripped and jacked, sportin 24 inch biceps, i have no idea, this post is about the majority that frequent the night clubs. i just get annoyed soemtimes when thats all u see is shirtless guys, then all u hear is the word "juicehead' being thrown around like its some new race of people, and not all guys that are big and lean are the steroetypical juice heads.
ive been in the bodybuilding industry for a while and ive seen alot..id say the biggest problem with the juice these days, are the guys you had no natural base, and take juice, and only know how to train or can only grow while on juice... these guys look awkard and are always on, cause when they come off its gone, its "rented muscle" ....the guys that look AMAZING,,and whom most people call a OUT OF CONTROL JUICEHEAD, may not be on that much juice as you would think, they just had a great natural base...
i was natrual for 10 yrs, and hit 240, not totaly ripped, but a big guy, then leaned down, did some natural shows way before i ever started juice. so when i get called a juicehead and think its all juice, i get annoyed, because these people do not even know what a juice head really is.
now you know why i have strong opinions on certain things... i dont just rant out of boredom, i rant becuase sometimes its just annoying and some things need to be said.

That is a really good point bro. My best friend is like that. When he started bodybuilding, he started jucing. So he had no natural frame to build on. So now he's on juice like 75% of the year because he associates all his gains only with the juice. It became a mental thing for him. He hasn't figured out that you don't need that much juice to look good. And to be honest with you... he looks pretty good, but for all the shit he's done he should look like Arnold. I think his body is use to the shit be now. I keep telling him to come off for a while ... but he won't listen. I guess we're all big boys now, and it's every man for him self.

the sad part about it bulldog, is they really cant come off, their natural frame wont hold the gains, they will hold some, but not much... beleive it or not they are better off staying on year round, im against that personally, but since he has been fucked from the begining, hes going to have to stay on if he wants to continue looking like he does...and if he does come off, make sure he does it right....hcg/clomid...but not the typical 10 day routine you see in the "steroid manuals" or "online guru sites".
ive worked with some guys on coming off from a long time of juice and came up with a plan that really works well, but if hes so fargone and shut done hormonally, he may still not recover fully from this.
heres the plan:
last 2 weeks of juice start HCG 5-7,000 a week for 2 weeks, then add clomid at 150mg a day for 3-4 weeks, and after the initial 2 weeks of HCG start doing 1000-1500 iu every other day for another 3-4 weeks, after 4 weeks then finish with clomid......so afrter the 1st 3-4 weeks of 150mg clomid, then do 100mg for 3-4 weeks, then 50 mg for 3-4 weeks, youd be amazed how well this works, and workd better for guys that havnet been shut down too hard harmonaly.

Personally, I think it's a little gay but to each his own. I've seen a few big guys in clubs without shirts but most of the people who take them off are 160 pounders with 13" arms who think they're big because they just broke that 135 max bench.
do whatever makes you feel comfortable. I live in south florida, and it’s all about , how you look. particularly in a nightclub setting. you work hard, so why be embarrassed, to show your achievements. it’s amazing how repressed, some people are, about showing their bodies..

As for the ladies the leather pants and and the lacey looking bras are always turning head. I like a fit woman in a wife-beater. Then there's always the creative use of colored plastic wrap just to cover the Rack of Woe. Had a girlfriend who would wrap her DD's like that for the club. No compaints from the guys.

Alot of clubs here make you keep it on and the only guys I ever see try it are those skinny little bastards with no business doing it.
and the lesson we learned from this thread:
outside major cities like NY, shirtless in clubs isnt accepted, the reason why i think most ppl voted positively toward being shirtless is b/c most of the guys/girls that view or post on this forum are from the NY area for the most part

at 5'8" and over 230 lb i know I can be a sweaty mofo in the clubs. If it's outdoors type stuff like they have a lot of in Cali yeah I'll take a shirt off. Now if I'm dancing with some girl and we're like sweating together and neither is complaining than maybe that's not a big deal. I saw I pretty cool idea once. a club would sell pretty cool looking little hand towels. they fuckin sold like crazy. I just don't like looking like i've done an hour of cardio LOL. To each is own. But 2 hot girls sweating on eachother is just performance art that should be admired by all

I live in Sydney, Australia, and taking the shirt off is frowned upon, but i'll get the gear off at any opportunity, because i'm known to dance for 8 hours straight which can get damn hot. Plus i feel i can cut some wicked shapes on the dancefloor when i'm half naked, it gives me a feeling of more freedom.
I haven't been on the board for about 6 months, but had to bump this one up. The reason I haven't been on is because I have been trying to be "natural" for a while and keep the gains from my last cycle. Although, summer is coming and I may have to kick it up a notch again before the beach is here. While I agree with some of the points made above, I wouldn't think 17 or 18 inch arms are small. Most of the hot girls I meet would take a 5'11'' guy with 17.5 inch arms and 6 % BF over a 5'9'' "body builder" with 22" arms and a 36 waist. And besides, I usually embarass those big bistards in the gym anyway. TAKE YOUR F'ING SHIRTS OFF, IT'S TIME TO GET INSANE!!!
In Holland it depends on the venues:
- Raves: YES. it's not vanity, it's purely sweating from all that hardhouse/hardtrance
- regular club / discoteque : NO, not allowed or simply "not done"
- heavely drug related wild afterpartyclub HELL YES!!! and while the gayscene may have originally started shirtless clubbing, it's the modern straight guy that has become aware of his martketing value as a "sexual object" for the opposite sex. Cocky bastard ? Perhaps, but if he got a perfect proportioned body, like made by an artist, he cannot be denied!!!
And bigger is not always better, perfect symmetry is what gives the "oohs" and the "aahs"

If you go to a club with your shirt off it means that you need to show off your body because you have an ugly face. It also means that you have no social skills and that your only resort is to attract women with your body.

In Holland we have a afternoonclub (the livingroom) that is dominated by hardcore male/female bodybuilders. I tell you this is a sad sad place. Not much happy people here!!! Huge Juiceheads with a serious problem. While I consider myself to be a hard training bb too, I rather frequent clubs with mixed public. I rather have fun with relaxed people and rather talk with Dani Flaberoni, Average Joe, Skinni Kid and the occaisional hardcore bb, as long as they are trying to create good party atmosphere....
I think having a great body is kool to show off, but i think it's kooler to show off a great mind.

Well... even tho im only 16 yrs old... I frequant some 18+ and 21+ parties and events... I look older, rules arent as tight, and IDing is non existant in Holland....

Wow this thread is still around. I think so many people have different views on this thread due to everyones location. Being specificall around the NYC scene alot of my friends take their shirts off simmply because its more confortable. Theres so many jacked dudes around that taking it off or keeping it on will rarely cause a chick to think different of you. I say fuck it and do what you want. Now if i'm in a jesey club and theres only a few obviously fucked up guys witht heir shirts off I think thats just bad taste. It really depends on the scene. This may be hard for mid western people to understand. It's almost a completely different culture around here thats only fair to judge if you really experience it first hand.

Yeah good call, depends on the scene. I used to date a girl that only wanted to go to gay clubs, which didn't bother me, because being in the South other clubs are lame! Anyway, I always used to take my shirt off when we went out, but it's just what people do here.

it depends on the scene and how wasted i am and also IF the musoc is good but what i dont ubderstand is how skinnny punks and the fat people can wear ginnie T's and no shirts and people dont think twice but when someone who works hard on there body and then shows it in the club or out someowhere people think differenmt or cant except it

im a bouncer at a club and its against the dress code to take your shirt off but you always have some annoying guy who thinks he has the best body in the world and has to show it off taking his shirt off.usually when im out i have to watch this annoying bastard dance around like an ass and try to pick up every chick he can while getting shut down each time, but since im a bouncer i get to toss his ass out. and yea in case your wondering im against guys taking there shirts off at clubs.
