hi first post but iv been reading for a while
just jioned a local gym and in my monthly sub i can do any of the classes they put on, always fancied MA's but always wanted to do one which would be effective in a real 'street' situation or a 'you spilt my pint' situation LOL
been thinking about going to shidokan but wanted ppls views who are more learned than myself, my friend is a brown belt in TKD but we both know id still kick his ass

been to a few TKD classes wi him but i cant see how it would work in a live situation its amazing to watch them sparring etc but most fights dont involve high flying kicks etc,
those ufc guys kick ass and thats kindas what im after but know one near me has that kinda club, would be doing it also for cardio to lose some weight as iv just started lifting again after 18 months off after a bike crash and well im....... 109kilos and just 5foot 9 DOH! (yeah too much comfort food)
any advice would be great
