she's got the drinking and driving blues

So yesterday after work I met up with this girl at a near by bar for happy hour. We had some drinks and after a few hours we were headed back to my place. I was buzzed, but she was DRUNK, so I told her to leave her car there, drive with me and I'd take her back in the morning to get her car. She refused, saying theres no way she was going to leave her car there, blah blah blah. So she takes off in her car, to my house. I get home, a couple of minutes go by and she hasn't showed up, so I call her. It turns out that she got into an accident less than 1/2 a block from my house. She somehow side swiped a parked car (brand new SUV) then rear ended the next car, which was then pushed into the car ahead of it. Her car wound up going up the curb, almost hitting a house. A witness told me that she backed out (from the curve) and was attempting to leave when he ran out and made her stay there (he owned the side swiped SUV). She basically totaled her car (2000 Jeep Laredo) but luckily wasn't hurt. I picked her up from the station at about 4:00 AM, she has no recollection of how it happened or how bad (all) the damage was. I feel a little bad because I could have been a little more persistant about not letting her drive, but I wasn't.

She has no idea what awaits for her now, court, AA meetings, suspended liscence, paying money up the wazoo, etc...

Don't drink and drive kids.

Did you bang her???? :Chef: :tuc:

if you knew she was lit up you should have taken the keys. You were expecting a rational decision from a drunk person? sucks to be her.
