I personally like the books and the movies. Killing Harry off would be a mistake because it would be truamatic to the younger fan base.
 
I give the Woman credit (Rawling)
Starting off by writing in a coffee shop to where she is today..

Kudos, regardless of the haters up in here for her writing some popular stuff
that gets kids (and adults) to love reading again..

I wonder if this is a marketing ploy to keep interest high in the last book ?
Interest sometimes falls off after the first books in a series this long.

I read that she wrote all night sitting in coffee shops because she had no heat at home as she was unable to pay the bill. You have to mad respect someone like that.

She turned out an incredible line of books and characters.

I would think Hermione and Ron will be killed. That would effectively cut all ties for Harry to remain behind and tied into Hogwarts. She kills them off and harry is so grief stricken he has amnesia and spends the rest of his life wandering the countryside wondering why everyone he cares about is taken from him.

I agree with all. Especially the last part. I don't think she would make it that obvious that Harry will die, just trying to keep suspense up for another friggin' year.

Draco? yeah he's a possibility, didn't think of him. I think that either Ron or Hermoine will die. Not both, but one since they've waited so long to get with each other. Don't forget

I don't want to spoil it for any one who doesn't read the books, but do you think you know who died in the last one? THere's a whole website dedicated to it. That could also put Snape on the dead list, if they V. finds out that he was helping him fake his death.

I think it'll be harry and voldemort to die. She pretty much said in that artical that she'd kill of the main character so no other author could pick up the story where it left off.
 
Judging by how fast the UFC is rising in popularity, I think it's safe to say that Harry Potter's longevity depends entirely on how good he can get at MMA.
 
of course there is the possiblity that harry doesn't die, but instead loses his powers.... maybe through some power drain magic he unleashes to stop voldamore and has to sacrifiice his own powers as well.

or he doesn't die, but ascends to a higher plane like obi wan did.

Ron and Herm have to die together, else the story will not be completely finished.
 
Maybe it ends with Harry waking up in his dirty London flat next to his fat, buck toothed wife, and it's all been a dream, ala "Dallas" or Bob Newhart ?

this is the last book that shes writing and it had better be good
 
It will piss me off if Harry gets killed. The whole premise of the damned series is that he has a special gift/power, and has been beating the odds since he was an infant. His destiny is to destroy Voldemort, and I'm sure he will, but it will SUCK if he dies in the process.
