I havent shaved my head in a while ...I usually keep it buzzed to #2 clipper...

When you shave your head to you guys go against the grain ? Last time I did it I went all over my head with Mach3,up and down, left and right...and I noticed that my hair grows back funny now..a few strands of hair on my front grows left, some grows up and some grows down...if I wanna let my hair bigger I wont be able to spike it up and such ...'cause it has grown in different directions.....

Does it matter how you shave your head? Lets say if you go against the grain...the hair will grow back evenly?

The way your hair grows is determined by genetic programming. I really do not believe the way you shave/cut it has any effect whatsoever.

I am not so sure about that....I shaved my head first time a few years ago....Before shaving my head I have never had the problem stated in my previous post...thus, I am thinking that the way one shaves it can be the culprit....

read up on it. u more than likely just never noticed it before.

Ive grown my hair out recently and I would say theres just an air of intelligence from having a full head as opposed to shaved.

My boyfriend goes against the grain. I cringe everytime I see him shaving his head. Looks like it would hurt! Of course, his would be extremely thin/fine if he had any, so it may not hurt so much.

the more and more my hairline fades the lighter the top of my head gets
hair on the side of my dome and in the back is coarse, hair on top is soft

your boyfriend is lucky....................

not because his hair is thin and doesnt hurt shaving it....but because he has you..

Against the grain, otherwise its too stubbly. Don't know if it grows back all fucked up cause I haven't stopped shaving mine. I doubt at my age it would all grow back anyway.
