Shaved heads unite....

A few questions for those who shave their melon.....
Do you guys shave your head against the grain? I was wondering if the way you shave your head determines how your hair grows back...is there any connection between the way you shave and the way your hair will grow back?

I still have a long way till I go bald but as my hairline recedes I wanna try the shaved look for a while....I did it two times in my life so far...

So, bald/shaved heads...feel free to throw any tips in..

Rnch, JayHone and his twin JayNVenin ...and other shaved heads...????

K for all those who sport the shaved head look...

I don't shave, I use a trimmer with a super close trimmer attachment.

I am deathly afraid of in grown hairs and other such flaws as a result of shaving.

I don't shave my face either...

what trimmer do you use? I assume you use the trimmer on your face too...
Doesnt your face get irritated when you use the trimmer on your face?

How often do you shave?

I use a Mach III and shave against the grain every morning and sometimes at night if I expect to get lucky.

Damn...cant do it daily....maybe once every three days..

Is it true that if you go against the grain your hair will grow back angled up?

I have a BGR trimmer, like 200 bones... recharge setup with full power of a regular plug in. I have 2 differnent blades that I use for trimming, one is super close like 00000, and the other is a 000 blade - both ceramic.

I use the 00000 for my neck up to my jaw line daily, sometimes twice.

I use the 000 on my head every other day or third day if I am fucking lazy.

I use the 000 on my face every morning.

Nah... it doesn't irritate me at all. In fact, if I use a blade - which I did for the first time in 8 months awhile back - on my neck - fucked my shit up... super irritation. All depends on what ur skin is used to I suppose....

Never use those 'guards' always buy the right size blade...

Look at this sexiness

Shave with the grain and never pluck, oh, and don't use one of those Flo-bee cutters. Perfume, and a two tone jersey with the appropriate appointments and viola, just like Picard.

I was leaning towards your answer too...I guess it may be genetically determined..

Mine just stands straight up when it grows back, until it gets long enough for gravity to take over. I see guys whose hair lays down when it's only 1/4" long, there's no way mine will do that. Genetics all the way.

I have to shave against the grain, or there'll be too much stubble. I've already stopped shaving for the fall though.

Your "shaved support" came a bit late..just used a MACH3 and shaved against the grain....I dont think that I am gonna stick with a razor, but rather use a clipper with no attachments once a week...I saved my goatee though....later the goatee may come off too..

bor, you still have a head full of hair...why the shave?

The approach for shaving a man's head is much different than for shaving a pussy.

Trust me. Mach III, against the grain.

'Cause I get tired of hair, and having to maintain it, and wondering how bad it's gonna look when I wake up every morning, and going to get it cut.

Shaving is a pain too, but at least it gives me some control. Go much longer than a week without shaving and it's too much to do with a razor and you have to get it clipped again.

I go against the grain. I use the Mach 3. When I first started shaving my head, I would cover my whole head and face with shaving cream, so that my eyes were the only thing you could see. I found it works A LOT better to just do it while in the shower with a little mirror and hot water. I can't stress the "a lot better" part enough.

My Old Grump likes to think he has hair. After nearly a year I talked him into shaving his head. He grew it back recently and I have to say, I like him much better bald. Now he is sporting a loooooong goatee... We are going for a ZZ-Top type beard.

He promised to shave his head again. I told him also to pierce both ears, a tight platinum hoop in each.

He is relatively new to the head-shaving. Uses that vibrating razor thingie... smoooooove and his head never gets irritated. He puts emu oil on it.
