Sharp pain in lower back

The Red Dragon

New member
After doing squats I was winded and my erectors felt like they were going to blow up. I then went to the leg press, placed 360 lbs and started repping out, but the seat wasn't adjusted properly I didn't think it was too much of a problem. My back was so exhausted I couldn't do curls and shit since my lumbars couldn't stabilize the weight. The day after I get this sharp pain in my back when pivotting at my hips (picking something up and getting back up). It's sort of like a sharp pain, very minor but its staying here for quite awhile (5 days). It's a small region on my lower left back, in the bony region. Should I put off huge compound movements? Oddly I don't feel em during deadlifts.

One of the problems I see alot of guys having while doing Leg Presses, are that they go down too far. Now I'm not saying to be one of those guys who loads up the sled with all the friggin plates in the gym, and does a 1/2 inch range of motion lift, but you surely want to watch how far you do come down. You want to come down as far as you can while still keeping you ass on the seat. If your ass rolls up off the seat and back, you are putting MASSIVE strain on your lower spine. I would watch it on those especially for now bro. As far as the rest of your Compound lifts, just play it one set at a time. Maybe take a week light, just to be safe. Try 10 sets of 10 on squats, while only resting enough time to change plates. You won't be able to go too heavy, but you will still get a killer routine--if you can hack it that is:D:D. Take care.
