Seriously

I have had success with a little of both. Currently, I am in the "Less is More" mode.

But, I always leave my routine open to adding sets/reps/lifts as needed depending on how I feel during the session.

it varies, both work for me, but not for the long run, gotta switch it up. currently im a less is more man.

I'm pretty minimalist. Less is more, I suppose...I kinda just sat down and figured out the minimum number of compound exercises to hit everything, and that's now what I do. Get done with my workout in like 15 minutes if the gym's empty and I superset everything :p

right in the middle

More weight less sets and reps

less weight more reps and sets

I feel each person responds to high volume and low volume differently, but super hi volume to me doesn't seem to build the strength I want

For ten years I've watched the high frequency guys at the gym come in and hit the exact same weights at the exact same size.

for me it is high volume, not necasarily high reps, but definatly high sets

for example today i did

5 sets of 5 reps standing overhead press
3 sets of 5 reps snatch
3 sets of 8,7,7 reps DB shoulder press
3 sets of 8 reps side raises
3 sets of 12 reps reverse flies
4 sets of 10rep db shrugs
4 sets of 10 rep trap machine shrugs
5 sets of 5 rep close grip bench
4 sets of 5 rep dips
2 sets of 15 rep face pulls

i think thats it , so a total of 9 sets for tri's and 27 for shoulders (delts and traps)

btw i think while your young and recovery is the best you should go high volume everything.

weights, sports, food, girls . .. . etc.

More or less, it`s less likely to do more on less, unless the less is at least more intense.
