tilt head over in opposite direction, either directly to the side or slightly forward. you can hold a weight in the stretching side hand to help keep the shoulder down.

I had that for a couple days two weeks ago. I got my wife to massage the shit out of it, which helped a little bit. It went away on its own eventually. I dunno know if it was the same thing, but it was right where you described.

put your feet against the base of something (a squat rack or smith machine) and grasp the top of it and relax your body back. Your body will almost look like a boomerrang.
