Serious Question- Need Replies

I view men as nothing but sex objects.....

This is too broad of a topic. It would depend on the man BEFORE I could say how I viewed them.

problem is the question is way too broad to answer, even in an essay.

if your professor is a feminist, try using the argument that men compare themselves to other men and base their self-worth on possessions and view women as objects to be possessed, with the sexiest/prettiest woman being most desireable, much like nice cars, houses, money, etc. -- and women view men as security, because they have been historically abused, downtrodden, and mistreated and are forced by chauvinists to depend on a man for financial and physical security.

if not, try the equal partners/opposites attract thing, with the yin/yang stuff where the weaknesses of one complement the strengths of the other (male aggression vs. female nuturing, male logic vs. female intuition, etc.)

if the prof. is a chauvinist, try the first one, but make it sound like its a good thing. :D

Here's the topic////yay

. Proportionately, television, movies, commercials and ads feature women who are far more physically attractive than the population as a whole. Develop a sociological rationale for and against this practice. How does this practice affect the manner by which society views women?

this is because everyone likes to look at something pleasant. not ugly. i think there have been tests done where both a nice looking person and an ugly person were put in front of a baby to see which one he preferred and he preferred the more attractive person.

The media portray beautiful people in their ads to sell products, an image, whatever. women buy the product with the hopes they will be magically transformed by whatever they buy. it plays upon their self esteem or self worth. also, so much shit out there nowdays promises a quick fix, great results with very little effort, and people in general are lazy and want the easiest way out. kinda like, hey, if i buy this shampoo, my hair will look like jennifer anistons hair. if i take this little pill, i'll wake up looking like the model in the picture.

would it make sense to say that the advent of attractive women in popular media make women more self conscious about their bodies and make some feel insecure about how they look.
