I am working on an essay that is due later today...I need on question answered and that is all and the more answers the better i just want to get a feel for the responses.

How do men view women?

And

How do women view men?

Thank you so much if u reply...karma to all

Easy...

Men view women as something to fuck before they go out with their buddies

Women view men as a self replenishing bank account to go shopping with.

How do men view women?

And

How do women view men?

Men view women as different things at different points in their lives, as do women. I believe that both view each other as, first, someone to spend time with and some one to have sexual encounters with. Eventually they look for someone to love or to love them, someone to have a serious relationship with. And eventually both view each other as potential life partners.

Here's the topic////yay

. Proportionately, television, movies, commercials and ads feature women who are far more physically attractive than the population as a whole. Develop a sociological rationale for and against this practice. How does this practice affect the manner by which society views women?

Hmm are you saying Im wrong?

and I agree with you SG..

I view men as nothing but sex objects.....

This is too broad of a topic. It would depend on the man BEFORE I could say how I viewed them.

problem is the question is way too broad to answer, even in an essay.

if your professor is a feminist, try using the argument that men compare themselves to other men and base their self-worth on possessions and view women as objects to be possessed, with the sexiest/prettiest woman being most desireable, much like nice cars, houses, money, etc. -- and women view men as security, because they have been historically abused, downtrodden, and mistreated and are forced by chauvinists to depend on a man for financial and physical security.

if not, try the equal partners/opposites attract thing, with the yin/yang stuff where the weaknesses of one complement the strengths of the other (male aggression vs. female nuturing, male logic vs. female intuition, etc.)

if the prof. is a chauvinist, try the first one, but make it sound like its a good thing. :D

this is because everyone likes to look at something pleasant. not ugly. i think there have been tests done where both a nice looking person and an ugly person were put in front of a baby to see which one he preferred and he preferred the more attractive person.

The media portray beautiful people in their ads to sell products, an image, whatever. women buy the product with the hopes they will be magically transformed by whatever they buy. it plays upon their self esteem or self worth. also, so much shit out there nowdays promises a quick fix, great results with very little effort, and people in general are lazy and want the easiest way out. kinda like, hey, if i buy this shampoo, my hair will look like jennifer anistons hair. if i take this little pill, i'll wake up looking like the model in the picture.

would it make sense to say that the advent of attractive women in popular media make women more self conscious about their bodies and make some feel insecure about how they look.

true, but that advent was the beginning of history -- beautiful women have always been glorified, back to Greek/Roman mythology, Cleopatra, Helen of Troy, etc., and there has never been a time when it was "better" for a woman to be unattractive. difference is that ancient Egypt didn't have "Cosmo" and "Friends" and most people were too busy trying not to starve to work themselves into hysteria over this stuff.

women: beautiful, smiley, caring thoughtful on the outside,

ruthless on the inside in most cases

How I view men

What I appreciate most about men, and how I view them, is that for the most part what you see is what you get. Most men don't have any hidden agendas. There's no wondering about what he really meant but that. If he said I looked nice in that dress, that's what he meant. Period.

I can't speak for how men view women, but it seems to me that us women often look too hard for hidden messages in what men say.

Well i am done..

Thanks everyone. Likei said karma to all.

By the way i disagree with you misty. I for example read way too much into what a girl does or says or means by something.

This question is way too general....every person is different in the way they view the opposite sex...the way I see a man can be completely different from the next woman...if you want to get general then yes, men may be more inclined to view a woman in a more sexual manner...as opposed to a woman who would view a man in a more emotional state, seeing him as a caregiver or protector....but like I said this is a general statement...

As

Initially as something to conquest, if conqured too soon intrest is gone...hint* women if you want to keep a man in a relationship keep him guessing some
