September 11th 2003

8:46am here in Wash DC... remember listening to Howard Stern Show and he was the first to talk about it.. Ran down the hall to tell fellow coworkers. They didn't believe me, since i heard it from the Howard Stern Show.. Then they heard it on other stations and believed me.

It must be tough being so close to this scar huh? :(

But I bet there are many there that have become desensitized seeing it every day..
The picture above was the test they did on the 10th apparantly.
Did you see it ?

Worst day and lowest point in my life.
My wife and I seperated on Sept. 10, when I drove away from my home and kids.
I wake up the next morning (hungover) at our lakehouse and see the most insane images I have seen. What I felt was primal anger.
Just like I feel today, 2003.

We've since got back together and healed, hopefully our country has too some.

Fellow Eliter's,

As we are upon the two year anniversary of September 11th, 2001......I pray that each one of us has it in our hearts to remember the tragic events of that day.

Take a moment out of your day, and think about how lucky we are to live in a country as great as this

And realize that it is our duty to protect this soil and the way of life as we know it.

Remember the fallen hero's of the NYPD and NYFD, as well as our armed forces

Remember those who are no longer with us, and cling tight to the people that are closest to you as you do not know if this moment could be your last.

May peace be with us all, both here and abroad.

Thanks For Reading,

Pitbullstl

Great post bro! Karma for you!

I dont know if its a good idea to get too emotional over 9/11 every year on a regular basis. Our government will use that factor to push through even more freedom robbing ("patriot") legislation. A prayer for the victims is all that is necessary, and appropriate. The big rallies and ceremonies are in bad taste, in my humble opinion.

I don't know that desensitized is the word. Maybe more like "business as usual". Or as close as you can come with automatic rifle toting MPs in the train stations from time to time.

The first couple of months afterward, people were walking around like zombies, but most people, with the exception of those who lost their loved ones, have moved on, I suppose.

Until the next strike, I guess.
