Self examinations are important. Please read...

I do self exams regularly. I had a friend that had it at age 17 so I became more aware of it. It doesn't seem like there is a lot of info about it. I mean women frequently hear about doing self exams for breast cancer, but not too much about testicular cancer.

Yes it is sad that there's not much awareness about it. I'm lucky that I watched the Tom Green special or else who knows how long it would have gone unfound. Most men don't fondle their own testicles on a regular basis. But with it being the most common cancer in your younger years as a male, it's very important to check for it every so often...

Good Post Daeo...makes me stop and think about alot of shit....good luck!

im bumping this as im having mine checked on wednesday, took me ages to muster the courage, but its gotta be done.

Actually I had never done any AS before I found out I had cancer. I had all my gear ready and a week later I found out I had cancer. Not wanting to waste away I decided to use AS during my radiation treatment. I'm cancer free to this day and don't regret anything...

very pleased to hear you are cancer free:angel:

Best of luck to you. Thanks for bumping this up again. I almost forgot about this post. In retrospect, at the time of my bout with cancer I was really scared. But as with everything hard times seem alot harder while you're going through them. NO ONE should put off seeing their doctor when they suspect a lump though. I'd rather have one testicle removed than other organs nearby...
