I used to dive for a living and I am having withdrawals... I feel like a fish out of water. It's the best and the animals are amazing...

I used to go to scuba at catalina island a lot. My dream is to one day check out the great barrier reef!

The Great Barrier Reef would be a dream vacation. What is it like to dive Catalina? Isn't the water pretty cold??

Depending on the time of year catalina isn't bad. I have found certain times of the summer to be quite nice. At worst in the summer it's a little brisk. Nothing compared to how cold montery can get though.

For some reason santa barbra gets GOD DAMN Fing cold.

Anybody have any remedy for bad ears. Even after I pressurize [squeeze nose and blow out] I get past twenty ft. and I feel like my ear drums might explode

I have always been able to equalize easily. Never had to even do the "hold nose and blow" thing.

do you continue to pressurize on your way down? I have to do it a few times if Im going past 50'


-have had my card for 10 years now and have been diving maybe 15 times in those ten years

best place I went diving was Caymans. The worst were the US Virgin Islands.

Try and clear your ears a lot when you first start down. Maybe take a sudafed to dry you up. It sucks when you can't clear- feels like pins in your eyes and stuff..

I just spent the morning in a dive shop. New, cool equipment and stuff
