I'm sure someone will suggest carb cycling. Sassy has a few good posts on how to do a 3 day cycle on this. Another alternative is also calorie zig-zaging. I think Jens did some variation of this while she was in competition mode. Your body has probably got used to your current regime, so any way to shake that up, may be what you are looking for right now.

Great going, SG, on reaching the 14% mark and staying there. I'm kind of hovering for a while until I can get all these holiday festivities out of the way before I attempt to go hardcore again.
 
OK, here it is.....taken this AM after Thanksgiving and cheat meal last night!!!!! lol Looking a little smooth today, maybe later in the week I can post a pic after a low carb day so everything pops a little more.

I have some estrogenic fat on my inner thighs, as you can see, and I'd like to dial my quads, hamstrings and chest in some more and loose a couple more % bf.

Looking through your journal, I can see one thing that may help, ScorpioGirl, but you may have a reason that you do what you do that I don't know about. I see you do your cardio on the elliptical. Actual running on a treadmill, or even better...outside...will cause more muscle to be used (due to the greater forces on impact). I admit, though, it's a tough one to figure out...Also, have you tried carb cycling, like roonytoons suggested? I have tried it before and it really produced results for me :qt: !

As for running...I've tried like hell, but end up with shin splints every time - that and I just don't have the endurance to run. I wish I could!

A little late to the party, but just wanted to add that you look fantastic. I have similar stats to you, but my skin is not so taut and my body fat is not as evenly distributed (I still have a lower stomach pooch), so I'm definitely envious.

How low are you planning to go in terms of bf before you start adding muscle?
 
I'd like to get down to 12% before I start to go the other way. I think the Sesamax might be working! lol

I checked my bf% on Saturday morning and I got a reading of 13.25%. When I look at myself, I see more fat than that.....I don't know if I just have bad self body image when it comes to fat, or if my pinches were off. For some reason, mentally, I'm just not at 13.25 yet. I don't know what's wrong.....

Ok, so my neck is killing me! I can barely drive - not good :rolleyes: I guess I better get to my DO so she can do a couple manipulations or something! By the end of the day I can barely move my head and I feel kind of like I have the flu - achey. All I feel like doing is laying on a heating pad and that just doesn't work with my schedule!!! lol

My daughter will probably come home on Dec. 22. Hopefully her head will be screwed on straight and she can get somewhere in her life. What is it about girls always having to have a boyfriend?!?!?! I wish she would just forget all about the male gender until she's 50!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow you have a super physique, ScorpioGirl! Very nice. I just wanted to say that I am 23 and I am just starting to figure out that boys are not the beginning and the end of the world. I was considering having a 6m-1yr boy free time. It would be easier if I was not with my boyfriend who I have been with for 4yrs..... :) I love him, he is great. I think there might be more to life right now though.

How are you liking the sesemax stuff? I just ordered some. I have way more BF then you, so I am wondering how that would work out.

As far as the boyfried, just keep your head on straight and be true to yourself. But don't be mean!! lol I LOVE being single, everything is in the same place you left it, no having to compromise (sp), no having to bend your plans to make everyone happy! Ahhhh, those were the days!!! lol

I really think the Sesamax is doing something for me. I'm definitely going to keep purchasing it! When I started on EF, I was 22-23% bf. If you get your diet in line and do your cardio and weight training, the fat will melt. The Sesamax is "icing on the cake" (ha, that sounds GOOOOOD!) to help that fat loss. I also used YES for a while, but ran out. Thanks for the compliment, I've worked hard and now I'm starting to see what I'm working so hard for!

What did you try to size them down with? If you're using photobucket, you don't need to make them smaller, unless they're really big.

Lot's of fat in this stuff - but I haven't been getting enough lately anyway. Seems like I'm ALWAYS hungry and lack of fat does that to me.

Neck problems due to stress - she gave me a script for an anti-inflamitory, a muscle relaxer (for pain), a light sedative (because I can't sleep due to the pain) - I'm set in that department - she's got me stretching too - SHIT THAT HURTS BAD!!!!!! Said if I'm not better in a month, I'll have to do physical therapy - which I'm NOT doing. So I guess I'll just do the stretches and ignore the pain - no problem just add it to my training - lol! I finally got a good night of sleep last night.

Our snow started about 4:00 PM. Pretty much a white out for a few hours. I sat at the doc's office until 6 PM - STARVING. Went over to get my scripts filled at Kroger and then home. We got dumped on - 7 inches of it!

Didn't weigh in today

Was ready to to cardio and got sidetracked with a family emergency. It's not a good day at my house today. My 17 year old daughter got in some major trouble and will end up in juvi by the time the day is over. We've tried and tried with her. She just keeps making really bad decisions....and it doesn't help that she has a LOSER boyfriend. No job, no car, no money and he's 18. She on the other hand risked her jobs (she HAD two), car (which she wrecked in the process last night) and her freedom just so she could see him. Just not a good day.

scorpiogirl, don't worry, she'll grow out of it. hopefully it won't be too late and she'll still have time enough to make a good, successful life for herself. my parents always told me that it's my future and if i screw it up, I WILL HAVE TO BE THE ONE to pay for it later. ... that it wouldn't screw up their life/hurt them or anyone as much as me in the long run. i guess i remembered this advice and have been very mature and successful since a younger age. it's a phase. it will pass. don't let it get to you hon.
