Scheduled layoffs

Soon I'll have to take a week off since I've been going quite hard as of late. My aerobic fitness has been comparatively poor this indoor soccer season, compared to previous ones. An increased focus on gaining strength is responsible, coupled with generally hating VO2 max and anaerobic/lactate threshold work and elements of laziness.

I'm planning a layoff for between one and two weeks, in 3 weeks time. My semester ends and exam period begins, which gives me improved opportunities to do some cardio.

I plan to concentrate on my conditioning during this time, as well as seriously working on my flexibility.

How do people spend their scheduled time away from the gym?

Priceless.

I usually do fun cardio (like hiking or canoeing, etc.), and some active recovery.

Oh, and sitting in a hot tub till I'm pruny, yeah....
