Saw "Minority Report" last night...

Definitely a tight movie. Go see it- it's the best movie I've seen since "Training Day".

I went by myself last night to kill some time, but ended up running into a very good female friend of mine who was there by herself also, so we ended up sitting together. It was nice.

Anyway, go see the movie. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Saw it on Saturday nite. One of the better films so far this summer - but the ending was weak and foreseeable.

I did like the special effects and future view of transportation.

Premise of future crime was cool - but I'm sure the "lawyers" on this board will have a field day arguing over it. (btw - it was just a movie...)

Yes, I agree with that criticism. Spielburg is a sucker for those happy endings, too. It was definitely worth the $7 though.

Saw it on Sat night too! I expected more but the use of technology was pretty cool.

That Lexus was tite

Casavant,

I wish I had that kind of luck......

Saw it too and kinda liked it. I don't think I've ever seen a movie with as much brand-name advertising, though.

I read that criticism of it and saw what they were talking about when I watched the flick. It was pretty blatant.

the advertising is done purposely for two reasons - 1) help with the costs of the film, and 2) it is in the story to have the current ad technology (think of some of his other stories such as Blade Runner and there is already the precedent).

as for the story - it was predicitable and silly and had the Spielberg (sp?) "I'm gonna make a point and really smack you with it a few times throughout this movie - even if they point is a bit contrite at points"

that said - watching the movie kicked major ass - very fucking cool.

i went stoned and tried my best to just follow the movie and not think ahead and just let it entertain me. I did well up to the point where my friend started talking to this other guy about what he thought was going to happen next, I happened to overhear it, and i got pissed cause he was partly right.

I would be a lost cause if I tried to understand that movie while I was high. Hell, Sesame Street would be a challenge.
