Save your hair and here is how

Make your own Spironolactone cream. Sprio is a very effective and proven anti androgen at the scalp and will work with any androgen and not just DHT.

This is a re-post as I have continued to get pm's about spiro.

Buy some Dermovan cream off the net.
Buy some spironolactone(aldactone) off the net or ask your doctor. He will give you a scrip for some if you tell him what you are doing.

Now for every 20cc of cream mix in 600mg of crushed spironolactone. I use an electric coffee grinder.
You can heat the cream up for a few seconds in the micro and suck it up with a syringe.

This makes a 3% spiro cream and this percentage is more than enough.

Dab it on your finger tips and apply it to the receeding areas. You can heat it up for a few seconds in the micro and or wet your fingers for better application. It goes on well and doesn't smell bad as does the spiro in alcohol based creams.
It drys well and you can't see it. It's like a "moose" or very light gel.
Put it on before bed and or in the am.

Use Nizoral 2% shampoo every other day as well and you will have a great hair loss prevention plan. I have yet to loose a single hair since adopting this plan.

so it doesn't stink? I don't like the gel hair look, do you have to have it on all the time or can you just use it at night? I spike my hair with other stuff would it have effect on the spiro mix?

Actually it drys to a complete dry look bro and very quickly too........its more like "moose" than gel

Other stuff will have no negative affect on the spiro bro.
I have it on all the time as I like how it helps with maintaining my hair style.

is SPIRONOLACTONA same as spironolactone?

should you use this everyday or alternate it between that and nizoral 2%?

I meant to post abotu this, I did over at AF. I am using a NINE percent spiro cream with the method realgains suggests, and I am actually regrowing hair on the same cycle I lost it from earlier, (850mg test+proscar)...I'm using it thick, 2-3 times per day along with nizoral 1%, folligen (i think this has had a big impact as well, www.folligen.com) and minoxidil 5% 1 time per day.

frac and iron bros, I was probely the first to use folligen (great stuff) as frack said. I will use their emu oil starting this week, maybe it will be as good.

That sounds like a spanish way of saying the same thing.
Use it daily.
I like it on all the time as I like how it gives a nice hold to my hair...and no wet look....its completely dry and invisible.

RG:)

A good place to buy it in the USA is www.msdepot.com

You have to call their 800 number as I can never find it on their online ordering catalog. Big jar for like $19...it will last a long time!

RG:)

Can you use the cream with a shaved head? I don't Bic it or anything, just shave it on the lowest setting. Even though I shave it now, I would like to keep my hair also.

Sure you can as it will get into the folicals even better!

Thats a good question.........I have always been able to get spironolactone tabs in either mexico or from my doc.

RG:)

I already asked this in another thread but I'll post it here as well, hope you don't mind...

I live in Europe and I need to find a substitute for the Dermovan cream. Please let me know what kind of cream it is, is there something special in it or would normal body lotion do the trick.

It's funny... I have access to spironolactone but can't get the damn cream :D

Here's a question no one seems to I know with rogaine or propecia once you stop they guarantee you'll go back to the way you were before if not worse. Is this the same effect or does it last if you decide to quit after a while of usage?

Is there any benifit in making the cream stronger? (2% to 5%).If it takes 6 of the spiro tabs to make 2%, it should take 15 to make 5%? Also, if you don't have a 10cc barrel, what can you measure the dermo cream with? A measuring cup? Thanks

Just heat some up so it is liquid and suck it up 3cc at a time.....or use a measuring spoon. One tablespoon is 15 cc and one teaspoon is 5cc.

3% seems to be more than enough bro.

anyone tried generics 5% spiro cream? I just started using it a few weeks ago.
Nothing against your stuff or method RG, but......... I'm lazy.
Thanks

Can anything else be used as the carrier? Like grain alcohol? How about an alcohol based, leave-in conditioner?

If you use alcohol it will turn the spiro smelly...like a wet dog bro.

OK i see. But how about a hair gel or leave in conditioner? I guess i am asking if the groud up spiro actually needs a trans dermal carrier to be effective.

Thanks.

I don't know bro........your guess is as good as mine but I do know alcohol makes the spiro smelly.

It helps somewhat but spiro is much better.
It is sold as 1% in the drug stores and 2% with a docs scrip.....unless you go to either Canada or Mexico where you don't need a script

it says that NIZORAL 2% is Dandruff Shampoo. how is dandruff shampoo supposed to help a person from losing hair?

is there a site to just buy some spiro cream that works well??? i have no time to mess around making this myself, but would like to give it a shot for the fun of it..... anyone know of any sites out there that sell something like this ???

Because it deep cleans down into the sebacious area of the scalp and removes DHT and perhaps other androgens as well.
It is actually used all lot by those loosing hair. Just go to a hair loss forum and ask and they will say yes bro.

I was shedding hair like a motherfucker after my winny cycle and got the spiro cream and was on propecia and my shit is still coming out. Its been about 4 weeks since I stared the spiro cream too. For about the past week i've added nizorol shampoo eod. I just can't seem to stop the shedding and i'm off of all substances right now for over a month. My scalp seems real dry too which might be adding to the problem. Any other suggestions.

Mix nothing with it bro....just apply the cream to the receeding areas as directed...maybe with a little water on your finger tips that all.

Mad Max, add some folligen, theres a good chance your scalp is really inflamed and irritated, if you're really serious about it do this:

Folligen cream from www.follgen.com at nighttime, after folligen apply their emu oil.

Take biotin at 3000mcg per day....

Spiro is good, it works 'so-so' for me now, I believe my body may have adapted to it so I'm going to switch up to alzaic acid for awhile.

YES... Alzaic acid is another good anti androgen at the scalp!

I've mixed pharmaceutical spiro tabs into the dermovan at approx. 15%!!!!
In my experience, It DID NOT work at all? The commercially available 5% spiro seemed to have a much stopped thr receding hairling to a MUCH higher degree. I'm stumped????
Maybe it was a formulation issue. I added all the spiro and mixed it over a weeks time. The only explanation I can think of is that it was not a homogeneous mixture???

Good luck to fellow bros....I hope you get better results than me with my chemistry background.

Home made spiro in dermovan has been used with good results for many years......don't waste mnoey with the store bought mixes as they are very expensive.

Hi! First post for me.. :) Great post by the way!

I'm doing a low dose test/Eq cycle in a couple of months and want to make sure I lose as little hair as possible. Should I begin using spiro/nizoral right away or can I start using it a couple of weeks before the cycle?

Thanks.
