saturday night roll call

its not night yet.



But, yeah, wonderfull day here at Metro Detroit too. Sunny, warm, I was driving with my window down and didnt feel like coming home at all. Driving around was a bliss :)
 
gearing up for another night tonight i think..........maybe taking more pictures to post for Spongebob and Fiesty/stickfigure..and then not explaining them

My challenge today has been to recapture control of my house from my cat's fur. If my dryer doesn't explode from the last load of blankets the cat has been sleeping on for the last 2 weeks I may actually stop the allergy-related sneezing and be able to sit w/o rubbing the bejeezus out of my eyes for 10 min at a time.

I perfected my protien bar recipe today, I'm so proud of myself...
each 2x2 bar: 22g protien, 7g carbs, .5g fat !! and killer!
 
I've gotta finish the first draft of my second chapter and the edit the second draft of the first.

CG's Bars

this is a WAY easy recipe and has many variations.
preheat oven to 350

Peanut Butter version

1/2 cup ANPB if it's cold you will have to soften it up a bit in the micro, just dont get it runny.
3/4 package silken (soft) lowfat tufo about 10-11 ounces. whipped up
2 egg whites, beaten
2 tblspoons honey or you can use splenda for lower carb, no sugar factor... 2-3 packets, if you like a sweeter bar you can add more.
3 scoops vanilla protien powder, I use twinlab 100% whey which makes it a bit wetter batter, if you use soy, you will need less oat flour.
1/2 cup natural applesauce, no added sugar
1/2 cup whole oats
1/2 cup oat flour
I also add 1/4 cup chopped dried plums... prunes... chopped up very small, they add a really nice taste and some potassium.
mix all the wet stuff together, then add in the protien powder... last comes the oats and the flour slowly add the flour till you get a brownie batter consistancy.....
spray an 8x8 pan with veggie oil and coat with oat flour. put in the over for 20-30 minutes.
monitor closely!!! oven temps vary!! The bars should brown on the top just a bit, but the middle will still be a little wet when tested with a knife. Tofu hardens upon cooling.
let cool completely in the pan then cut into ten bars. you can get your exact amounts of carbs, protien and fat when you cut into the sizes you want... take the bars and divide by the totals...viola!

the ones I listed are made with honey.

I also made vanilla berry
I subbed the ANPB w/ 1/2 cup mixed raspberries/blueberries
and added 2tsp vanilla extract. oh, my god!!

you can sub whatever you want, in place of PB, also add c chips, nuts... chocolate is made by using chocolate protien powder and adding 1/4 c hershey powder.

these are dense bars, and keep in the fridge for up to two weeks in an airtight plastic container, but mine don't last more than two days.
I hope I included everything.....

I am comfortable at about 65 degrees

any colder than that and I am hurting! I love Louisiana

yesterday it was 73 degrees...I had on shorts and a spaghetti strap shirt and was still warm

Cabo is the best fucking Tequilla I have ever tasted! Got really fucked up doing shots of that stuff in Oregon this last summer.
 
I'm here. Will be up all night. Finally decided to empty my closets and throw away stuff. My lord, the crap that one accumulates over 6 years is amazing. Why I kept bringing this leather coat I had in high school with me every where I moved to is beyond me.

I should've started with the kitchen, but I don't know if I can part with my air popcorn maker that I only used once and the waffle maker I had to hide when I joined EF.
