rounding back on deads

Just got back from doing some heavy deads. It seems impossible to keep the back straight like one would do on squats. How u all do it

Bro, there's your weakness. Work hard and make your lower back stronger.

Rack deads, GMs, reverse hypers ... there are countless ways. You can do it man.

I keep my head up, shoulders rounded and behind the bar when I'm starting my pull.

Also, my low back is pretty strong. That could be your problem (if it isn't your starting position). Make sure you're strengthening your low back with good mornings or reverse hypers.

do what i do....... try rounded back deadlifts...... round your back on purpose while pulling from a rack just below the knees. since i have been doing these even if i do round my back, it is so much stronger from being worked in that position that i dont get fatigued there at all.

Word.

I had the same problem - it may just be a form issue. We played with my stance and starting position over the bar a lot to work out this kink. Then, it's a matter of patience as you get used to the new approach - it's taking me a while, but I'm finally getting my weights back up to where I want them to be.
