Rotator cuff question.

It seems that Wednesday night I slept with my arm in a bad position and aggravated my left rotator cuff. I didn't realize it was in this condition until I tried to incline bench Thursday.
It hurt, not horribly, but was definately uncomfortable.

I stopped and just did cardio that day instead. Took Friday, Saturday and Sunday off and did some rotator cuff work Friday night and Saturday night.

It feels much better today, but .....should I take even more time off? I've never had an RC problem before, so I'm not sure. Any thought would be appreciated. Thx

I would have thought it would be difficult to seriously damage your rotator cuff from just sleeping on your arm, but you never know.

I guess the answer to this question depends on you. You gave it some good rest, which was the right thing to do, and if you could do the rotator cuff work without pain you should be ok. IMO take it easy and see how you go, just dont push it too hard if you get some pain...

Cool. It was a little sore off and on the first day or 2, but by Sunday, it was much better. It still crackles a little when doing cuff work, but its bi and tri day today, so I'll see how it goes.
Thanks again.

after not being able to abduct my arm above 50 degrees without pain i would say wait until the pain goes, and test the water the next time with a very complete build-up/warm up

shoulder injuries SUCK...u can;t even punch properly!

I'll warm up my rotators today and since cgp's are part of my tri routine, I'll do extra warmups to see if its hurts. Any twinge and I'm out. A week out won't kill me.....but a month would.
