Roommates and Deliveries

The Terminator

Anabolic Post Whore
Platinum
I currently have a roommate and am expecting an int'l delivery (actually it's a multiple weeks late). At this point I am not even sure it is going to come (though the source is heavily backed). The problem is that I currently have a roommate and the mail arrives when I am not home (and he is). He always has the mail inside by the time I make it home. If a package is delivered and he takes it inside (and say it is a controlled delivery) would this possibly make me prosecutable even though I did not accept the package? He owns the house and the package is coming with a name very similar to mine (though not exact) so if it were to come while I were not there he would take it inside. But I order alot of supplements through online services so I get about 2-3 packages every month from various supplement companies (so my int'l orders that do come there never look out of the ordinary to my roommate). Obviously my house is cleaned out of all AS and contraband, but if they deliver to him while I am not there can I be at a big risk. The only thing that seems damaging would be my computer...

Then get rid of the computer :FRlol: :FRlol: :spin: ya right you would go insane :insane: ........I am not sure but I don't think they would deliver it to him if it was a controled delivery. I think they would wait till you came home or wait till the next day and try to catch you at home.... basterds......TAPOUTM

I beg to differ... Hypothetically, if it were a controlled delivery, they might try and deliver it to the room and allow your roommate to sign for it or even just "accept" it. Once he takes possession, it would probably be enough to execute the accompanying search warrant. And just an FYI, computer forensic specialists will sometimes make a copy of the hard drive rather than seize the whole computer. In any event I can only imagine that your roommate would be pretty pissed if he were hauled down to the precinct for accepting your juice, so I hope you do the right thing bro.

That's what I figured, once he were to take it inside (even though this pack requires no signature) it would still probably be considered "in my possession". Looks like it will have to be exclusively MBE's for now...
But if my house is clean of everything then the only potentially damaging thing would be my computer, but can it really be that damaging (everything sensitive has been done over secure emails...). I know they would be able to figure out who I am on this board probably (via my computer) but is that really something incriminating...(90% of my posts have come from the anabolic board :o )

Well technically, they could use your computer to get leads on other "cases" or try to convince you to "cooperate." As far as the potential damage it could do to your case:

Well, for one there would be circumstantial evidence that you are the one that ordered the package of steroids...if they couldn't establish that already. Secondly, it could help them make a case against your source or someone else. Thirdly, I guess there's always the possibility of conspiracy charges (depending on your state).

Leverege... They might not even care about you, they might want to go after who you know... and that evidence might or might not be on your computer. Depending on where you are, the feds/local authorities want the big fish... in Cook County... they'll cut all kinds of "deals" with you to try to get just about anyone they can...

I know a guy who turned in 150 names (some people he had NO idea they did anything, but knew they had before in the past) -- about 18 people got busted with shit on them.... several with 20-30 X tabs... some with AAS... their sentences ranged from 15 years to 2 years probation... needless to say.. I've not heard of that guy ever since...

Just to give you some ideas of what can happen.
